• Some councils in England have been warned they risk running out of cash reserves if recent spending continues.

• The Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) ordered Karnataka to release 9.19 tmcft of water for the month of June from the Biligundlu reservoir to the Mettur Dam in Tamil Nadu.

• The RBI has increased the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) time window for customer transactions (initial cut-off) from 4.30pm to 6pm, effective June [latex]1^{st}[/latex].


• The transactions will now take place under three windows – 8 am to 11 am, 11 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 6 pm. The minimum amount to be remitted through RTGS is ₹2 lakh with no upper limit.
