• Two weeks after the gang-rape and murder of a woman veterinarian in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh cabinet decided to table a Bill in the Assembly to punish perpetrators of heinous crimes against women and children within 21 days.


• The state cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, approved the draft Bill for women's safety, which is named after Disha, the victim of Hyderabad case.

• Uttar Pradesh Teachers’ Eligibility Test (UPTET) admit card 2019 will be released today, on December 12, 2019. Candidates who have successfully registered for the UPTET 2019 exam can download their admit card at updeled.gov.in after it is released.


• The UPTET 2019 exam will be conducted on December 22 at 1986 exam centres across the state. The exam will be held in two sessions: 10 am to 12.30 pm (primary level) and 2.30 pm to 5 pm (upper primary level).


• The secretary of exam regulatory authority, UP, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi said while the test for the primary level would be held at 1986 centres, the same for an upper primary level would be held at 1063 centres.

• West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is expected to release the admit card for industrial development officer (IDO) prelims exam 2019 today. The exam will be conducted on December 22.


• Candidates will be able to download the WBPSC IDO prelims admit card online at www.pscwbonline.gov.in/.


• According to the official scheduled released by WBPSC, the admit card for the IDO prelims exam will be released on December 12.

• IDBI Bank share price rose 3 percent intraday on December 11, a day after the board approved the sale of up to 49 percent stake in two subsidiaries.
