Subject Verb Agreement Quiz

shape Introduction

In English, the basic structure of a sentence is as follows:'Subject + Verb + Object'. For a sentence to be grammatically correct, the verb must agree with the subject. In other words, the verb used must be in accordance with the person and number(singular or plural) of the subject. Thus, if a subject is singular, its verb must also be singular; if a subject is plural, its verb must also be plural. Subject Verb Agreement Quiz presents several interesting quiz questions to the readers to test their English grammar skills.
In present tenses, nouns and verbs form plurals in opposite ways:
Nouns ADD an 's' to the singular form, Example: The lion chases the deer. Here Lion is Singular, and 's' is added to chase.
BUT
Verbs REMOVE an 's' from the singular form. Example: The lions chase the deer. Here Lions is Plural, and 's' is removed from chases.
