Sentence Connectors is a great tool for improving English writing and speaking. Why? Well, Sentence Connectors are phrases or words primarily used to express relationships between ideas and to combine sentences. Connectors’ are used to link large groups of words: phrases and sentences. Sentence Connectors can also be used to connect paragraphs to give them coherence. Sentence connectors when putting's at the beginning of two sentences, connect them in a way that retains their original meaning. Sentence Connectors Practice Quiz 2 presents some examples in the Q&A format primarily explaining the usage of different connectors in sentences or clauses.
Connectors are also known as conjunctive words – the words that link two similar elements in a sentence. Connectors can be broadly classified into 4 categories as below:
