3. If ‘MEANDER’ is coded as ‘4515459’, then ‘MATHEMATICS’ is coded as
A. 6 7 2 5 0 6 2 3 0 7 6 B. 4 1 2 8 5 4 1 2 9 3 1 C. 4 5 0 3 8 4 0 1 8 5 4 D. 5 7 1 5 9 4 1 3 9 5 5

Explanation - Letters are arranged according to the digital sum roots which is explained by Example:
A = 1, B = 2, ....., H = 8, I = 9, J = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1, M = 13 = 1 + 3 = 4 & so on.
Similarly, code for MATHEMATICS is 4 1 2 8 5 4 1 2 9 3 1.
4. In a certain code ‘EASIER’ is written as TGKUCG. How is CUTTER written in that code?
A. TWVVGE B. TGWWVE C. TGVVWE D. TVGVWE

Explanation - Letters are written in reverse and move +2. Reverse of CUTTER is RETTUC. Now add 2 to each letter
R + 2 = T, E + 2 = G, T + 2 = V and so on. So code of CUTTER is TGVVWE.
5. In this question, the sets of symbols given in the alternatives are represented. The columns and rows of Matrix I are represented by &,@,#,$,* . A letter from this matrix can be represented first by its row and next by its column, e.g., ’N’ can be represented by &@, @*, etc., and ‘D’ can be represented by *&,$* etc. Similarly you have to identify the set for the word ‘DRUM’
###### Matrix-I

A. @&, $$, &*, # B. @@,$$, &*, $# C. @@,$#, &*, $@ D. &$, , ##, \$#

1. Which of the following cube in the answer figure cannot be made based on the unfolded cube in the question figure?
A. B. C. D.

Explanation - Option (B) cannot be made.

 68 114 204 45 25 36 23 89 ?

A. 157 B. 168 C. 21 D. 15

Explanation - 68 – 45 = 23
114 – 25 = 89
204 – 36 = 168
3. A truck travels 36 km North, then it turns West and travels 9 km, then it turns South and travels 50 km, then it turns to its left and travels 9 km. Where is it now with reference to its starting position?
A. 14 km North B. 86 km South C. 86 km North D. 14 km South

Explanation -
It is in the south direction with reference to starting point.
4. Anjali's brother, Shyam, is the grandfather of Rajendra's son. How is Shyam related to Rajendra?
A. Brother B. Son C. Father D. Maternal Uncle

Explanation - Anjali $\rightarrow$ Shyam $\rightarrow$ Rajendra $\rightarrow$ Son
Shyam is the father of Rajendra.

A. 8 B. 6 C. 11 D. 28

Explanation - (7 – 1) × 2 = 12
(5 – 4) × 2 = 2
(6 – 4) × 2 = 4
(7 – 4) × 2 = 6
1. Select the odd one from the given alternatives
A. BN – P B. GI – R C. LM – Y D. TA – U

Explanation - BN = 2 + 14 = 16 = P
LM = 12 + 13 = 25 = Y
TA = 20 + 1 = 21 = U
GI = 7 + 9 = 16 = P $\neq$ r
2. Select the odd one from the given alternatives.
A. (143, 64) B. (232, 49) C. (719, 289) D. (462, 169)

Explanation - 143 = 1 + 4 + 3 = ${8}^{2}$ = 64
232 = 2 + 3 + 2 = ${7}^{2}$ = 49
719 = 7 + 1 + 9 = ${17}^{2}$ = 289
462 = 4 + 6 + 2 = ${12}^{2}$ = 144 $\neq$ 169
3. Present age of A is 2 times the present age of B. After 8 years the B's age will be 4 times of C's present age. If C celebrated his fifth birthday 9 years ago, then what is the present age (in years) of A?
