Two persons, person 1 and person 2 standing at point S and Q respectively and are facing each other and the distance between S and Q is 20 meters. Person 1 at point S is facing north. Person 1 and Person 2 are turned to their right and then walked 15 meters to reach Point N and Point P respectively. From Point N, Person 1 turned and walked 10 m meters to his south-east direction to reach point M. From Point P, person 2 turned left and walked 25 meters to reach Point Z. Point Z is 30 m to the west of point L. Point Z is to the south-west of S.

In the above diagram the minimum possible distance between Point P and L will be calculated using the Pythagoras theorem as follows:

Here the distance between point P and Z is 25m and the distance between point Z and L is 30 meters so

[latex]{(PL)}^{2} = {(25)}^{2} + {(30)}^{2}[/latex]

[latex]{(PL)}^{2} = (625) + (900)[/latex]

[latex]{(PL)}^{2} = (1525)[/latex]

(PL)= 39m approx.

So the minimum possible distance between point P and L is approximately 39m.
