Understanding the RRB ALP Technicians Exam Pattern and Syllabus will help the candidates in devising effective preparation strategies. Speed/Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam and hence, analysis of RRB ALP Technician exam pattern and syllabus is very crucial to be able to complete the exams in the stipulated time.
There shall be two stages of examination (First stage CBT and Second Stage CBT) common for the posts ALP and Technician. In addition, candidates who have opted for ALP and qualified in Second Stage CBT have to undergo Computer Based Aptitude Test (AT). Marks will be normalized in all the stages of exam.

The marks scored in Part A alone shall be used for short listing of candidates for further stages of recruitment process subject to the condition that the candidate is securing qualifying mark in Part B.
Qualifying Marks for Part A: UR – 40%, OBC – 30%, SC-30%, ST – 25 %
PART B –
This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the Trade Syllabus [Click Here] prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). PART B consisting of Objective Tests will be conducted online. This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 75 questions.
