Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the Exam Pattern, Exam Syllabus and primarily Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration. SSC CHSL 2020 - Skill/Typing Test
SSC CHSL Tier-III Examination (Skill Test / Typing Test) is only of qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I (Written Exam) and Tier-II (Descriptive Paper).
Skill Test: The Skill Test is eligible for the post of the Data Entry Operator.
Duration Of Test: 15 minutes
Speed of data entry: 8000 Key Depressions per hour.
Typing Test: Typing test will be conducted for the post of Lower Division Clerk, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Court Clerk.
Duration Of Test: 10 minutes
Speed of Typing test: English should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and Hindi should have typing speed of 30 words per minute.

• The Duration of the SSC CHSL Tier-I written examination is 75 minutes, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 1 hour or more for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.


• The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.


• The Duration of the SSC CHSL Tier-II Descriptive test is 1 hour.


• The Duration of the Tier III Skill/Typing test is 10 minutes.
