The SSC CHSL Selection Procedure is divided into 3 phases: Tier 1 Online Test, Descriptive Test and Skill test/Typing Test. SSC CHSL sets Cut-Off Scores for the various phases of the exam to select the best candidates for the positions Lower Division Cler, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant and Data Entry Operators in SSC. 1. What is a Cut-Off Score and how is it useful? Cut-off Score, is the minimum qualifying score decided by the exam conducting authorities that the candidates must achieve in order to qualify the exam. Knowledge and Analysis of the Cut-off trends of previous years will help the candidates in estimating and understanding the difficulty level (standards) of the exam, the expected cut-offs for the current year and the amount of preparation required to ace the exam. The information will aid the students in devising an effective study plan to clear the expected cut-offs.
Every candidate is required to score the equal or more than the minimum qualifying marks. Cut Off marks will be different for all categories.
2. SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019-2020 Cutoff Scores: SSC CHSL Recruitment is in 3 phases.

SSC CHSL Cutoff scores is the set of all (Sectional and Overall) minimum qualifying marks, decided by the Staff Selection Commission, to be secured by candidates for getting selected in the next round of recruitment process. Only those who have secured the SSC CHSL cutoff scores in the Tier 1 exam will be called for the next phase i.e. the Descriptive test.

1. Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of re-categorization of the post and in view of job requirements. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent. The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.
2. Paper-II will be held only for such candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories. The date and time of the Paper 2 will be communicated to shortlisted candidates in due course. Commission reserves the right to set separate qualifying standard in any Part of Paper-I.
3. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II.
After qualifying the Tier I test, based on the post applied by the candidates, the candidates will need to take one of the following additional tests which are of qualifying nature only. Click Here - Skill Test/Typing Test Syllabus.
The qualifying cut offs in these tests are based on the set criteria decided by SSC.
Skill test: Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer. You need to complete a given passage in English at a rate of about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions within 15 minutes.
Typing test: Typing Speed in English of 35 words per minute (i.e. 10500 key depressions per hour) OR Typing Speed in Hindi of 30 words per minute (i.e. 9000 key depressions per hour). You must complete the passage in 10 minutes.
The SSC CHSL 2020 cutoff will be released along with the SSC CHSL results. The cutoff scores of SSC CHSL Tier 1 will be declared after conducting the exam and followed by Tier II cutoff.
