Indian Government announces Welfare Schemes every year(time to time) at all levels for a refined and enhanced society. The Indian Government Schemes could be either Central, State specific or a joint collaboration between the Center and the States. This article particularly mentions all important schemes launched between 2014 - early 2018.

Atal Pension Yojana Launched: May, 2015 To bring pension benefits to the people of the unorganized sector Reduce the number of zero balance accounts in the country.

Bal Swachhata Abhiyan Launched: November, 2014 To increase awareness about the cleanliness of the children all over India. It will be observed from 14th to 19th November. The campaign has been planned out in the following way:

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana Launched: September, 2014 To enhance the employability of rural youth. Start 1000-2000 training centers across India by 2016.
Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana Launched: 2015 To provide electrification to all villages. To invest 756 Billion rupees for rural electrification, feeder separation to ensure sufficient power to farmers and regular supply to other consumers and metering to reduce the losses.
Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF) Launched: September, 2017 To build efficient milk procurement system by setting up of chilling infrastructure and installation of electronic milk adulteration testing equipment. To benefit 95,00,000 farmers in about 50,000 villages.
Digital India Launched: July, 2015 Aims to bring Digital empowerment to India and aid in its transition to becoming a knowledge economy. To create 17 million direct and 85 million indirect jobs, while significantly reducing Indian imports of electronics.

Mission Fingerling Launched: March, 2017 To achieve blue revolution To enhance fisheries production from 10.79 mm (2014-15) to 15 mm by 2020-21 under the blue revolution.
MUDRA Bank Yojana Launched: April, 2015 Regulate lending and borrowing activities in the microfinance setup of India. To provide crediting services and financial support to the microfinance entities, that are functioning across the country

National Sports Talent Search Scheme Launched: 2015 To find and nurture sports potential and make them excel in national and international sports competitions. To identify sports talent among students in the age group of 8-12 years and nurture it.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shramev Jayate Karyakram Launched: October, 2014 To create conductive environment for industrial development and doing business with ease and expand government support to impart skill training for workers.
  • Allot Labour Identification Number to 6 lakh units
  • Upload inspection reports within 72 hours of inspection
  • Enable 4.17 crore employees to have their PF account portable and accessible
  • Support manufacturing units by reimbursing 50% of the stipend paid during first two years of training
  • Introduce smart cards to workers
Pradhan Mantri Gram Sinchai Yojana Launched: July, 2015 To irrigate fields of farmers across the country and promote effective use of water. To attract investments in Irrigation system and expand the cultivable land in the country.
PowerTex India Scheme Launched: April, 2017 To develop power loom sector. To develop power loom sector simultaneously at over 45 locations in the country.
Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY) Launched: July, 2017 For welfare of senior citizens above 60 years. To make the pension scheme available from 4th May 2017 to 3rd May 2018 for senior citizens above 60 years.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana Launched: April 2015 Welfare the poor people through effective implementation of schemes. To apprise member of parliaments to help in effective implementation of government run schemes for the welfare of poor across the country.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana Launched: 2015 Improve the quality of health care and make it accessible across the country. To provide good quality health care by improving access to quality medicines at affordable costs.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana Launched: August, 2014 To achieve financial inclusion of every individual who does not have a bank account. To ensure financial access to everyone who was not able to get benefits of various finance related government schemes.
Power for All Scheme Launched: April, 2017 To offer people uninterrupted power supply To ensure that by 2018 October, each house in UP will receive this benefit.
Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat Launched: September, 2017 To spread awareness among LPG users about the proper use and benefits of LPG. NA

Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Vigyan Gram Sankul Pariyojana Launched: September, 2017 To formulate & implement appropriate S & T interventions for Sustainable development through cluster approach in Uttarakhand. To benefit about a lakh of people directly or indirectly in 4 identified clusters of 60 villages in Uttarakhand.
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana Launched: May, 2015 To increase insurance penetration level in the country. The insurance covers death or disablement of the policy holder caused due to accident or accidental injuries.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana Launched: August, 2017 For agro marine processing and development of agro processing clusters. NA
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Launched: January, 2016 To boost farming sector in the country. Aims to reduce the premium burden on farmers and ensure early settlement of crop Insurance claim for the full insured sum.
Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) Launched: February, 2017 Making one person in every family digitally literate. Make 6 Crore persons in rural areas, across states/UTS, digitally literate, reaching around 40% of rural households.
Prasad (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) Launched: 2014 To promote tourism and Develop cultural places. To achieve 1% share of international tourist arrivals by 2016-17.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Launched: 2015 To provide houses at affordable rates. To provide interest subsidy of 6.5% on housing loan for 15 years and use sustainable and eco-friendly technologies during construction process.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana Launched: May, 2016 To provide LPG connections to BPL households in the country. To replace the unclean cooking fuels mostly used in rural India with clean and more efficient LPG.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Sanchar Kaushal Vikas Pratisthan Scheme Launched: May, 2017 To train rural youth to maintain mobile towers, repair optical fibers, and fix other communication technologies. To impart training to 10,000 people from 10 States/UTS in the first phase.

To implement on pilot basis for 2 years covering tea, coffee, rubber, cardamom, and tobacco in eight districts in West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, and Tamil Nadu by the commodity boards.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Launched: October, 2014 To make India clean. To provide facilities to every family including toilets, solid and liquid waste disposal systems, village cleanliness, and safe and adequate drinking water supply by 2nd October, 2019.
Solar Energy Scheme for Small Powerloom Units Launched: March, 2017 To provide financial assistance/capital subsidy to small power loom units Provide financial assistance/capital subsidy to the extend of 50%, 75%, and 90% of the basic cost of the solar energy plant (cost of solar panel + inverter + batteries) to the applicants.
Saubhagya Scheme Launched: September, 2017 To provide electricity connection to families in rural and urban areas. To provide electricity connections to around 40 million families by December 2018.
Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan Launched: 2014 To provide toilets in all government schools. To provide separate toilets for boys and girls in all government schools within 1 year.
Swadesh Darshan Launched: Jan, 2015 To accelerate domestic as well as International tourism in India and to develop theme based tourist circuits in the country on the principles of high tourist value, competitiveness and sustainability, in an integrated manner. Expecting to attract over 13 million foreign tourists by 2020.
Shaadi Shagun Scheme Launched: October, 2017 To encourage higher education of girls Give Rs. 51,000 to meritorious Muslim girls who complete their graduation before marriage.
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana Launched: Jan, 2015 To ensure bright future for girl children in India. To provide financial security and independence to the girls and help them with their education and marriage.
Soil Health Card Scheme Launched: February, 2015 Issue soil card to farmers to help them get good harvest by studying the quality of soil. Issue soil cards to about 14 crore farmers spread across India.
Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission Launched: September, 2015 To drive economic, social and infrastructure development in rural areas. Provisioning of economic activities, developing skills and local entrepreneurship and providing infrastructure amenities in rural areas.
Standup India Scheme Launched: April, 2016 To promote entrepreneurship among people from SC/ST and woman. To provide loan between Rs.10 lakh and up to Rs.1 crore to entrepreneurs for setting up new enterprise.
Sampada Scheme Launched: May, 2017 To supplement agriculture, modernize processing, and decrease agri waste. To give a renewed thrust to the food processing sector in the country and create modern infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm gate to retail outlet.
Seema Darshan Launched: January, 2016 To provide an opportunity to children to experience the border environment and to foster patriotism and nationalism among the students. To make students visit border areas of our country and present them before our soldiers. To showcase the tradition and culture of our country through traditional songs and dances.
Special home for widows Launched: March, 2016 To provide homes to widows in Vrindavan. To construct special Homes on 1.424 hectare of land for 1000 widows at Vrindavan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
Science and Technology of Yoga and Meditation (SATYAM) Launched: November, 2015 To strengthen research in areas of Yoga and Meditation. To identify various issues and challenges related to human well-being and address them. To investigate on the effect of Yoga and meditation on physical and mental health, and on the effect of Yoga and meditation on the body, brain and mind.

Aarogya Raksha Scheme (Andhra Pradesh) Launched: January, 2017 To provide health insurance cover to every individual. To render end-to-end cashless services for 1044 diseases under secondary and tertiary care through 432 government and private hospitals and provide health insurance coverage to about 35 lakh above poverty line families in the state.
Adapting Homes for the differently-abled (Haryana) Launched: March, 2016 To provide pension in advance to differently-abled people. To give 6 months pension in advance to persons with disabilities for adapting their homes as per their requirement.
Apni Gaddi Apna Rozgar Scheme (Punjab) Launched: July, 2017 To provide commercial two-wheelers and four-wheelers to unemployed youth at subsidized rates. NA
Arogya Bhagya Scheme (Karnataka) Launched: September, 2017 To provide free medical treatment to the poor across the state. To cover around 14 million state households as part of UHC under the scheme.

Durgama Anchalare Malaria Nirakaran (DAMON) (Odisha) Launched: August, 2017 To prevent spread of Malaria in remote areas of Odisha’s Ganjam district. To hold 103 camps in next 3 months and cover 15,000 people.
Deendayal Rasoi Yojana (Madhya Pradesh) Launched: April, 2017 To help people get economical nutritious and good quality food. To provide meals at Rs.5 per plate for people.
Digital Dakiya Scheme (Madhya Pradesh) Launched: January, 2017 Use students to increase awareness of cashless transactions especially among the women and the elderly. To encourage cashless transactions in the state & spread digital literacy throughout the state.

e-Health Kerala Scheme (Kerala) Launched: January, 2017 To create an effective IT-enabled integrated framework to ensure effectual health care to the common citizen and create a centralized database of healthcare information. Create patient-friendly interface for the public health care institutions all over the state.

Free Surgery Scheme (Delhi) Launched: July, 2017 To provide free surgery to people at private hospitals if they don’t get response for surgery at a govt hospital within 1 month. To facilitate 30 surgeries across 48 hospitals free of charge for patients referred by govt hospitals.
Farmers’ Debt Relief scheme (Madhya Pradesh) Launched: June, 2017 To provide farmers loans at low rates of interest. Provide loans to farmer's at low interest rates to help defaulting farmers get loan. Compensation of Rs. 1 crore for the kith and kin of the dead farmers.

Mathru Poorna Scheme (Karnataka) Launched: October, 2017 To meet nutritional needs of pregnant and lactating women in rural areas. To provide one nutritious meal daily to pregnant women for 25 days in a month in every district.
Mukhyamantri Santwana Harish Yojana (Karnataka) Launched: March, 2016 To provide immediate medical relief to victims. To provide free treatment to accident victims for the first 48 hours in the nearest hospital be it Government or Private Hospital, with financial aid up to Rs.25,000 during the first two days.
Mukhyamantri Samoohik Vivaah Yojana (Uttar Pradesh) Launched: October, 2017 To provide financial assistance on occasion of marriage of couples from economically poor backgrounds. To spend Rs. 35,000 for each couple, out of which 20,000 will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary.

Sampurna Yojana (Odisha) Launched: September, 2017 To provide assistance for pregnant women. To cover all villages where ambulances cannot reach.
Swachh Andhra Mission (Andhra Pradesh) Launched: October, 2017 To make the state Open Defecation Free. To equip all villages in the state with all facilities before 2019
Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme (Himachal Pradesh) Launched: October, 2017 To provide easy access to curative geriatric health care services by way of additional cover. To provide coverage of up to Rs. 30,000 per senior citizen to existing RSBY smart card holders.
Single-woman Pension Scheme (Telangana) Launched: June, 2017 To provide financial assistance to single-women. To provide single-women Rs. 1,000 per month.
