1. Who can apply for SSC Stenographer 2018? Aspirants of SSC Stenographer 2018 will have to fulfill certain eligibility requirements to successfully fill the application form.
Academic Qualification
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year from the Board/University to prove the same can also apply for the SSC Stenographer exam.

Nationality Candidates belonging to any of the following nationalities can apply for SSC Stenographer 2018:
    Indian citizen, Citizen of Nepal, Citizen of Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, only if they come with the intention to stay in India People born in India but migrated to Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries

Age Limit Stenographer Grade ‘C’: [Candidates born on or after 02-01-1989 and born before or on 01-01-2001]
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: [Candidates born on or after 02-01-1992 and born before or on 01-01-2001]
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 27 years
Age will be calculated as on 01-01-2019.
Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen, Central Government Employees, and J&K domiciled candidates) can avail age relaxation as per the Government of India.
2. I am in the final year of graduation. Am I eligible for this exam? Yes, you are. But your eligibility is subject to the condition that if called for the interview, you will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01-01-2019.

2. What is the Exam Pattern of Computer Based Exam For SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Recruitment 2018? The Exam Pattern of Computer Based Exam is as shown below:

1. What are the Fee Details of SSC Stenographer Grade C & D? Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs. one hundred only)
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card.

3. What ID proofs am I supposed to carry along with SSC Stenographer Admit Card? With SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2018, you can carry any one of your ID proof such as Passport, Aadhar card, Driving license, PAN card with a photo attested.
1. Is the SSC Stenographer call Letter issued region-wise? The SSC Stenographer Admit Card is released region-wise and can be downloaded by the candidates based on their region from the official website of SSC.
2. How to download the SSC Stenographer Admit Card if the registration/roll number is lost? In case of losing the registration/roll number, a candidate can download the SSC Stenographer Admit Card by entering his / her name, father’s name and date of birth and retrieve the registration/roll number.
3. Which are the regions for which the SSC Stenographer Hall Ticket/ Admit Card is available? The SSC Stenographer Admit Card is available for the below-mentioned regions:

4. Is it necessary to carry certain documents to the exam center along with the SSC Stenographer Call Letter/ Admit Card? It is absolutely necessary for you to carry 2 passport size photos of yours and a valid government ID proof such as Voter ID Card or Aadhar Card. Without these documents, your SSC Stenographer Admit Card stands void in the exam center.
