Introduction
Intelligence Bureau (IB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has released IB ACIO Notification for direct recruitment to 1430 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II/ Executives. To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates are required to have completed graduation and must be in the age group of 18-27 years. Knowledge of computers is an added advantage and desirable. Additional information about qualifications, age limit and other criterion can be found in detail in the sections below.
Online application submission for the IB recruitment will begin on 12 August, 2017. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications on or before 10th September 2017 (11.00 pm) . Online applications can be submitted at mha.nic.in.
Age:
The age limit for applying for IB ACIO II is 18-27 years as on 10/09/2017.
Age Relaxation:
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates’ upto 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service.
- The age limit is relaxable up to age of 35 years for general candidates and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.
- The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as well as for candidates who were domiciled in J&K from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989 as well as the children and dependents of victims of communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat as per the Govt instructions in this regard issued from time to time.
- The candidate should possess Graduation or equivalent from a recognized University.
- And should possess Desire Knowledge of computers.

- IB ACIO Grade II/Executive posts are not reserved for any category of physically handicapped (HH, OH, VH) persons. Hence, they NEED NOT apply.

- The appointment in permanent capacity will depend on various factors governing permanent appointment in such posts in force at that time.
- Successful completion of training is mandatory for confirmation to the post of ACIO-II/Exe.
- The eligibility of the candidates in terms of age, educational qualification, caste/category etc. will be determined on the closing date. i.e. 2.9.2017 (till 23:59 hours).
- The candidate must be Graduate or equivalent from a recognized university on or before the closing date, i.e., the final result must be out on or before the closing date, i.e. 2.9.2017 (till 23:59 hours) and he/she must have been declared successful in.
- SERVICE LIABILITY: IB ACIO Grade II post involves All India Service liability. Only those candidates who are willing to serve anywhere in India need to apply.
