The Reserve Bank of India (Note Refund) Amendment Rules, 2018. It directed all branches of banks to exchange mutilated / defective notes of various denominations.

On September 9, 2018, according to a new study by Bird Life International, 8 avian species was declared “extinct” in this decade.
It was carried out to analyse 51 Critically Endangered birds six statistical methods to assign to the IUCN Red List Category to determine which of them qualify as ‘potentially extinct’ and ‘extinct’.
The study also cites reasons for the 187 extinctions that have occurred since documentation of species began back in the 1500s.
