Dataset Search: Google launches new search engine for scientific community

- On 6th September 2018, Google launched “Dataset Search”, a new search engine for the scientific community to help them find the data required for their work.
- Dataset Search will work like Google Scholar, which is Google’s search engine for academic studies and reports.
- Dataset Search will help find datasets wherever they’re hosted, from a publisher’s site, a digital library, or an author’s personal web page.
- Users can find references to most datasets in environmental and social sciences, other disciplines, government data and data provided by news organisations.
