Jharkhand govt renames town and railway station after Bansidhari temple of Lord KrishnaKey Highlights:
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs approved the Jharkhand government’s proposal to rename a railway station and a town in Garhwa district after Lord Krishna.
The town Nagar Untari and the railway station would be renamed as Banshidhar Nagar, after Banshidhar Temple.
It would be remodeled on the lines of Mathura and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh to make it a part of the Lord Krishna religious circuit.
The government is looking at proposals for a tie-up with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

Former footballer Arthur Pereira dead Key Highlights:
former Maharashtra football player Arthur Pereira passed away after fighting cancer, at a hospital in Borivili, Mumbai.
Arthur Pereira was 70 years old. He represented India in the Russia tour in 1971.
He represented Maharashtra in the national championships for the Santosh Trophy from 1971 to 1976.
He had played for various clubs in Mumbai like the Orkay Mills club. He also served as Physical Education teacher at St Joseph’s School in Malad, Mumbai.
