Single Window Operator: The Single Window Operator provides all the general services of the bank to the customers. These primary services include: issuing ATM cards, opening new bank accounts, issuing demand drafts, issuing cheque books, issuing bank passbooks, issuing cash, processing checks among other customer services.
Special Counters: The bank clerks also need to work on special counters like FDR counters, Cash counters and so on.
Other Departments: The clerk also need to work in offices like credit cells, regional offices, clearing houses, administrative offices and many others. In this, they do not have to contact the customers directly.
Marketing Service: Owing to the tremendous growth in the banking sector, banks like SBI employ the services of bank clerks for marketing. Thus, a bank clerk should have the ability to learn about the different products and services of the bank to be able to convey the information and to educate the customers about the bank’s services and products.

Computer Literacy / Having Good Computer Knowledge The Core Banking System (CBS) system is part of all banks across the nation. Therefore, clerks need to be computer-literate to research information on data analysis, data entry, and other related work.
