shape Introduction

The SSC CGL Selection Process involves Four Tiers as indicated below:
Tier I - Computer Based Examination Tier II - Computer Based Examination Tier III - Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper) Tier IV - Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification
Tier I examination would be held from 02-03-2020 to 11-03-2020. Candidates who will clear the Tier I exam will proceed to the Tier II Exam. The candidates who clear the tier 2 exam will be allowed to write the Descriptive test.
The qualified candidates will have to take a Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/ Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), wherever applicable. Apart from this verification of documents and physical standards is also conducted by the indenting office.

The different phases of the SSC CGL 2019 Selection Process are as described below:
Tier I Exam is Computer Based Exam for 200 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 Hour duration consisting of 4 sections as follows. There is no separate timing for each section.

Tier II Exam is also a Computer based Exam for 800 marks will consists of four papers with a total of 500 questions. Each paper in the Tier II is separately timed i.e. 120 minutes and like the Tier I Examination, there is a penalty for each wrong answer.

  1. Marks obtained in Tier-I ,Tier-II &Tier-III will led candidates to determine that whether they are eligible to apply for Tier-IV or not.

  2. Tier-IV will includes questions related to Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
Skill Test Duration Time
Date Entry Skill Test: Passage of about 2000 key depressions 15 Minutes
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): (i) Word Processing, (ii)Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides -
All the candidates qualified for Document Verification are required to come for Document Verification. Those who fail to do so will not be considered for any post at the time of final selection. Candidates will have to submit copies of various documents like Matriculation Certificate, educational qualification, caste certificate, relevant document, if any relaxation is taken, etc. Candidates will be required to produce all documents in original for verification at the time of document verification. Information about the required documents will be provided while calling candidates for DV. Detailed options for posts will be taken either online or at the time of document verification.
