After appearing for GRE, the next crucial step involves Sending GRE Scores to universities and fellowship institutions that have been lined up by test takers. But to ensure that test takers do not goof up while they send GRE scores to universities or designated institutions which receives the GRE scores, test takers need to know how the process works. There is a limit on how many FREE score reports are allowed to send. Then, there is a time frame for designating schools and institutions that will receive the scores as well.

Sending GRE Scores - How to Send?
The test fee entitles that the test takers can request the scores to be sent up to four graduate institutions or fellowship sponsors.
✦ For the Computer-delivered GRE General Test, the candidate will be asked to designate their free score recipients at the test center.
✦ For the Paper-delivered GRE General Test, the candidate will be asked to designate their free score recipients during registration.
With the ScoreSelect option, the candidates can decide which test scores to be sent to the institutions they designate, so one can send the scores they feel which shows their personal best so that they can build more confidence on the test day. If the candidates wish to send scores to additional institutions or decide to send scores after test day, they may do so by ordering Additional Score Reports for a fee.
On test day, after completing the test and viewing the unofficial Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning scores, the candidate will be asked to designate which score recipients they want to receive their General Test scores. If an institution is not listed, the candidate can ask the test center administrator for the appropriate form to indicate unlisted institutions. The form should be completed and returned at the test center before leaving the test center. The form will not be accepted after leaving the test center.
✦ The candidate will have the option to select the Most Recent (Send the scores from the current test administration) option or All (Send the scores from all administrations in the last five years) option for up to four institutions for free. One can also choose not to send any scores at that time.

There are three ways to order Additional Score Reports (ASRs):
Test takers can choose to send scores from their Most Recent, All or Any test administration from their reportable history. ASRs can be ordered for a fee of US$27 per score recipient. Once a request is submitted, it cannot be canceled, changed or refunded.
Changes to the mailing address cannot be processed through this service. Test taker should contact GRE Services for assistance.
