Those who had applied for the January session can also apply and this would not be considered a second chance for them. The final result will include the best score out of both attempts
The HRD Minister has announced to conduct the JEE Main April exam between July 18 and July 23, 2020. As many as 9 lakh candidates had registered to appear for the exam earlier. While JEE Main is an entrance exam for NITs and other engineering colleges, it is a prerequisite for JEE Advanced – entrance exam for IITs. JEE Advanced will be held on August 23.
Why have the students been provided with this new form/edit form option ?This year, several institutes abroad are either not accepting applications for on-campus admission or have deferred the program due to the ongoing pandemic. Most of the students have been asked to conduct their foreign education through online modes, at least for the first few months, which is still not certain and thus several students have changed their study abroad plan.
New Exam PatternJEE Mains exam pattern has changed starting this year. There will be a total of 75 questions, of which each session has 20 MCQs and five long-form questions. The long-form questions are a new addition. Each question will score 4 marks and for the wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted for MCQs, however, for long-form questions, there will be no negative marking.

JEE is conducted twice a year. In the January exam, 9,21,261 candidates had registered while 8,69,010 candidates appeared for the same. While the result of the January exam has been announced in which nine students have scored 100 percentile score. The rank list will be out only when the second session of exams is also conducted.
