What is the JEE Main 2019 Dress Code?
Since, it is the first time that the NTA will be conducting the national level engineering entrance examination therefore appearing candidates might be curious to know about the JEE Main Dress Code. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has prescribed a list of items that are barred in the examination hall and has also directed a JE Main dress code.

What To Wear and What Not To Wear on the day of JEE Main 2019 Exam?
Candidates can check the below mentioned JEE Main dress code rules to clear their doubts regarding what to wear and what to avoid. These guidelines are implied to both Male and female candidates.

JEE Main Dress Code - What to wear:

• Wear simple clothes without accessories, plain and comfortable clothes to avoid undergoing exhaustive checking.


• Try wearing half sleeves clothes which are light and do not have many drapes.


• Complicated hairstyles or clothing will lead to a longer frisking session.


• Wear sandals/ slippers

JEE Main Dress Code - What not to wear:

• Avoid wearing clothes that have metal attached to them (underwired bras, belts etc).


• Avoid wearing any kind of jewellery or other accessories.


• Do not wear long sleeved clothes or attires/ trousers with too many pockets/ deep pockets.


• Candidates wearing shoes have to face longer frisking/ checking procedures. No high heels or shoes.


• Clothes with big buttons, brooches and badges are not recommended.


• Do not wear fancy stoles, scarfs, watches, sunglasses etc.
