Introduction
Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the UGC NET Exam Pattern, UGC NET Exam Syllabus and primarily UGC NET Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration.
Duration
UGC NET 2018 – Computer Based Test is conducted in online Mode. The Test will consist of two papers: First paper consists of 50 questions with a duration of 1 hour and the second paper consists of 100 questions with a duration of 2 hours.
1. UGC NET Exam Duration – Computer Based Test:
*Candidates are advised to report at the Examination Center well in time, at least 2 hours before commencement of the examination. Candidates will not be permitted to enter in the Examination Center after 8.30 am in First Shift and after 1.00 pm in Second Shift.
In case any candidate furnishes false information, appears in more than one shifts/ dates of the Computer Based Examination, the candidature is likely to be cancelled and the result in such a case will not be declared.

Note:
Candidate shall appear at their own cost at the Centre on Date and Shift as indicated in their Admit Card issued by the NTA. Under no circumstances the choice of Cities for Centre, Date, Shift and NET Subject provided in the Admit Card shall be changed.
