SSC JE Paper I Exam for admission to SSC JE was conducted from 23rd to 27th September 2019. This article will give the complete SSC JE 24th September 2019 Exam Analysis which includes the topics, number of questions asked in the exam and difficulty level of the questions. SSC JE Paper I was conducted in online mode in the Objective MCQ format for 2 hours General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness consists of 50 questions and 50 marks and Technical Ability [Civil & Structural, Electrical and Mechanical] consists of 100 questions and 100 marks.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

  • The Computer Based Examination is Objective Type in nature consist of Multiple choice questions.

  • The dates of examinations indicated below are tentative. Any change in the schedule of examinations will be informed to the candidates through the website of the Commission.

  • 1. The Examination will consist of two Papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type). Details of these Papers are as follows:

    2. In Paper-I and Paper-II for General Engineering, the candidate will be required to attempt only the part as per option given in the application form filled by the candidate. In other words, the candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying & Contracts) are required to attempt Part-A (Civil & Structural) of Paper-I and Paper II and the candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) are required to attempt Part-B (Electrical) and the candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) are required to attempt Part-C (Mechanical) of Paper-I and Paper-II failing which their candidature will be rejected.
    3. The Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.
    4. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

  • General Intelligence was of Moderate level. It was nor too easy and not too difficult.

  • There were at least 8-10 questions from Odd-Even type question and around 10 questions from Alphabetical

  • There were 3-4 questions from Direction

  • Two questions were related to mirror images. The questions on mirror image were very easy.

  • Two easy questions were from Blood relation, Venn diagram, Statement.

  • About 30-35 questions were which a candidate could solve in 20 seconds.

SSC JE technical paper (Civil Engineering) was of moderate level. Questions were asked from topics such as Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering. Structural Engineering: Theory of Structures, Concrete Technology, RCC Design, Steel Design.
  • There was a question on brick, cement, and other than these, there were questions from paint and Varnish.

  • There were some question repeated from previous year from the Cement Like different ingredients of cement were asked, bougals compound was asked.

  • One question was from the heat of hydration.

  • There were few questions from Property of Concrete, working, physical property of cememt.
  • Maximum questions form concrete were asked from Test.

  • In this shift, there were only 4-5 numerical questions which direct formula based.

  • This section was also easy.
