Introduction
Detailed knowledge of syllabus for any exam helps the candidates to prepare accordingly by focusing on their strong and weak topics. The syllabus is a guide for preparation for any exam. Below mentioned data gives an overview of the RRB NTPC Exam Syllabus.
Syllabus
First Stage consisting of Objective Tests will be conducted online. This test would be of 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PWD candidates accompanied with scribe) duration consisting of 100 questions, 3 sections as follows.

Note:
Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in CBTs. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (Only for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master)
Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category i.e. irrespective of SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ PwBD/ Ex SM and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.

Note:
Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of SM/ TA. The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi. There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
