1. I have completed BE/ B.Tech Mechanical engineering. You are not eligible to apply.
2. Should I need the experience to apply for IT Officer vacancies? No. Freshers are also eligible
3. I did my degree through correspondence (distance education). Shall I apply? Yes.
4. Are Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical engineering degree holders eligible? No.EEE is not mentioned under the list of educational qualifications given in the notification. So applicants with that degree may not be eligible.
5. Can MCA graduates apply for IT Officer? Yes.
6. I will complete my course in May 2018/19 / I am in final semester/year. Final year/ semester students are not eligible for IBPS SO recruitment 2019/20. Only those candidates who have completed their degree as on November 26, 2019 are alone permitted to apply.
7. I have done BSc. Agriculture. Am I eligible? IBPS is asking for 4 yr course, while B.Sc would be 3 yrs only.So you are not eligible
8. I am having 3 years experience in software MNC.Can I apply for Agri.officer? If you are an agriculture graduate & possess the necessary eligibility conditions, then you are eligible to apply.Experience is not required.
9. I did Agri in UG & MBA in PG.Will I be able to apply? Yes, you are eligible for AFO position since you had completed agri in UG.
10. Are BE Biotechology graduates eligible to apply for agriculture field officer post? Biotechnology is not mentioned in the list of degrees eligible for IBPS SO (AFO) vacancy.So candidates with biotechnology cannot apply.
11. I have completed MBA through distance education.Is it eligible? No. Candidates applying for HR & Marketing vacancies should have studied their PG degrees/ diploma ONLY through regular colleges
12. I have only UG degree.Can I still apply for HR or Marketing officer? Post graduation degree is compulsory.UG degree alone is not necessary.
13. I have dual specializations in MBA.There is no major & minor subjects in my degree.Am I eligible? Yes, you are eligible for the posts if any of the specialization is in the prescribed discipline (HR for HR officer/ Marketing for Marketing officer)
14. I did MBA with Finance as major & HR as minor specialization. Can I apply for HR officer? Since HR is your minor specialization, you are NOT eligible.
15. I had Marketing as major & Finance as minor. Am I eligible for Marketing Officer post? Yes, you are eligible.
16. In how many stages the exam is held? The exam of IBPS Specialist Officer is held in two stages. In the first stage Common Written Examination (Prelims and Main) is conducted and then an Interview round is organised for final selection.
17. What is the pattern of CWE of the IBPS Specialist Officer 2017/18 Exam? The question papers of the exam have questions from the area of English language, Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude (depending upon the post for which exam is being taken) and professional knowledge in one’s areas of subject specialization.
18. If NRI/OCI are also eligible to appear for the exam? No. The candidate should be a citizen of India to become eligible for the IBPS Specialist Officers exam.
19. If there is any age relaxation for the candidates of reserved category? Yes, candidates of reserved category are given an age relaxation in the upper age limit. For general candidate the Upper age limit is 30 years. The OBC Candidates are given 3 years of age relaxation. The candidates of SC/ST are given 5 years of age relaxation. And the PWD category candidates are given an age relaxation of 10 years.

1. Can I make corrections after submitting the ibps form and already paid fees? No, you can not make any further corrections once you paid your fees, even if the date of registration is active that time. But, you can refill your form and pay the fees again with correct details this time.
2. What are the dates of registration/payment of fees for online application form of IBPS SO Exams? Online Application Form Registration Start Date – 06.11.2019 Online Application Submission Last Date – 26.11.2019 Payment of Online Application Last Date – 06.11.2019- 26.11.2019
3. In which size format the Photos and Signatures should be uploaded? A recent, recognizable photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) should be uploaded by the candidate in the online application form and the candidate should ensure that copies of the same are retained for use at various stages of the Common Recruitment Process (CRP).
4. What if you can’t upload photo and signature while filling the application form online? There might be some server error or loading issues in the website. So wait for some time and try to reload the page. If this is not the issue, then check out the image dimensions once again and re-upload it with the correct dimensions and sizes.
5. What to do when the confirmation mail for Registration and Password not received? As per the Registration System, as soon as you enter the required information for Registration, an automated password is generated and sent to the entered mobile no and email id. In case you don’t receive it, you should wait for some more time and if still it is not received then you can contact Exam Convener Body – IBPS itself.
6. What if the payment is debited from the account but the Registration Confirmation did not receive? It is most importantly required to take a print out of the e-receipt generated at the time of fee payment. If the e-receipt is not generated, then the cash debited will be re-credited to your account after some time. You can also check the status of your online payment by logging out and logging in once again.
7. Can the application form details be edited after being submitted? If by mistake you have submitted the incorrect information asked in the application form like – DOB, Category, Name, Father’s Name, Address, Gender, Mobile Number or anything it can be. Then these data will not be changed, once you finally submit the application form. If you think that you are not sure about the information, then it’s better to choose ‘save and edit’ option rather than ‘final submit’.
8. If the candidate belongs to OBC category as per state norms but not in the central list. Which category should be mentioned in the application form? In case, when the caste category is not defined in the central list, then the candidates will be considered as General Category Member, so they’ll have to mention their category as General only.
9. Can the Exam Center be changed after submitting the Online Application Form? No! the allotted time, date and venue details cannot be changed.
10. I have mistakenly uploaded my wrong signature/ wrong photo in my application form. Can I re-edit it? Yes, you can but only when you have partially submitted your form or you have not click the final submit button. After payment, you will not be entertained for this facility.
11. What is the total number of questions that are given in the IBPS Specialist Officers 2018/19 Exam? There are 150 questions in each Prelims and Main that a candidate is required to attempt in the IBPS Specialist Officer’s exam. These 150 questions are covered from different sections. 1. How would you be able to download your Call Letter/ Admit Card if you have forgotten your Registration Number/Password? The Registration Number and Password is sent to the mobile number and email id provided at the time of registration. So candidates can collect it from there only because the official website doesn’t provide it again. Take extreme precaution while saving these important details in the mobile. You can also note them down and keep them safe for future reference.
2. In case the candidate forgot to carry his/her admit card at the time of exam/interview. Then will he/she be allowed to enter the exam hall/interview hall? No, Admit Card/Call Letter is a mandatory document which every candidate should carry along with them.

1. When will the IBPS Specialist Officer 2019/20 Exam will be held? The Preliminary Exam will be conducted on 28.12.2019 and 29.12.2019 while the Main will be conducted on 25.01.2020. The interview round will take place in the month of February.
2. What are the posts for which the IBPS Specialist Officers 2017/18 Exam is conducted? The posts for which the IBPS Specialist Officer’s exam 2018, is conducted are – IT SO, Agriculture SO, Marketing SO, HR/Personnel SO, Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari SO.

1. What are the cutoff marks to qualify the IBPS SO Exam? The cut off marks are decided on the basis of the number of correctly answered questions.
2. What if you are not satisfied with your marks on the score card? You can claim your answer key. As soon as the Result is declared, the official website provides an opportunity to all the candidates to claim their answer keys.
3. What are the reasons for cancellation of candidature? If any candidate is found doing or being part of any of the illegal activities like, cheating or helping others, then his candidature to sit for the exam will be cancelled.

1. Can the candidates reprint their call letters? Yes! The admit card/call letter download link is always available till the ends of the Interviews. So if any candidates want to download and reprint their call letters, then they can do it anytime.
2. Which documents should be carried at the time of Interview? The 10th and 12th Mark-sheets along with the caste certificate and valid photo identity card is necessary to be carried at the time of Interview. Also, candidates can bring their score card.
3. Can any candidates claim his Interview Marks as well? No! Candidates can’t claim their interview marks. Those marks are decided on the basis of their performance and abilities assessed by the Interviewers.

1. Can the candidates change their bank preferences? Once the bank preferences are submitted, the candidates can’t change it then.
2. What if the candidate didn’t receive the email containing further joining details by the allotted bank? IBPS is not responsible after provisional allotment. The candidates may wait for the email confirmation or contact to the allotted bank itself.
3. Do the IBPS release waiting list for candidates who didn’t get finalized in the result? The official website of IBPS releases the notification regarding waiting list after few days of Result Declaration. So candidates are advised to visit the IBPS site regularly for all the latest updates regarding IBPS Exams.
