Introduction
Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the IBPS SO Exam Pattern, IBPS SO Exam Syllabus and primarily IBPS SO Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration.
Duration
The IBPS SO selection process has three phases. The first two phases (Preliminary exam and Main exam) are written exams (conducted online). The third phase is a Personal Interview conducted by a selection panel.

IBPS SO - Exam Duration – Important Notes:
- The duration of the IBPS SO Preliminary examination is 2 hours, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 2 and half hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
- The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.
- The duration of the IBPS SO Main examination is 45 minutes/ 60 minutes, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 2 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
