The Union Public Service Commission is responsible for appointments and examinations for All India services and group A & group B of Central services. The All India services comprises (contains) Civil Services of India. UPSC exam is conduct vacncy like CDS, NDA, CAPF and etc.

Union Public Service Commission, founded on 1 October 1926, was started as Public Service Commission. Later, it was named as Federal Public Service Comission the Government of India Act, 1935. After the independence, Federal Public Service Comission was again renamed as Union Public Service Commission.
