Syndicate Bank has announced the Syndicate Bank PO Online Test 2018 Results that was conducted on February 25th, 2018, for the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) program. Selected Candidates are invited for Syndicate Bank PO Group Discussion and Interview. The date, time and venue for Syndicate Bank PO Group Discussion and Interview will be communicated to the successful candidates in due course. The reserved category candidates have to submit valid Caste / PWD certificate as per Government of India format at the time of GD and Interview.
GD
The selection of candidates to Syndicate Bank PGDBF program shall be by way of Online Test + Group Discussion + Interview. Those candidates shortlisted after the online test will be invited for a Group Discussion and an Interview Round.
A Group Discussion is an activity where a group of participants are given a topic and are given a time limit to discuss the topic. Group Discussions have now become an important element of recruitment process. GD’s enable the recruiters to filter candidates who are able to present holistic views about any given topic and who are able to present and justify their thought process clearly while giving room for other participants to express their views. Group Discussions mainly assess the following:
- Communication Skills
- Thought Processes
- Holistic Views
- Ability to speak instantly on a given topic.
- Performance in a group
- Allowing other participants to express their thoughts on the topic.
- The aggregate marks of qualified candidates in the Objective Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to approximately 5 times the number of vacancies declared for each category, will be called for Interview and/ or Group Discussion as decided by the Bank.
- The qualifying marks in Interview and/or Group Discussion will be as decided by the Bank.
- The final merit list for selection will be on the basis of performance in Online Test and Interview and/or Group Discussion as decided by the Bank.

While appearing for the Online Test / Group Discussion / Interview, the candidate should produce original and a copy of the photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as:

GD Tips
A Group Discussion is an activity where a group of participants are given a topic and are given a time limit to discuss the topic. A candidate has the liberty to speak either in favor of the topic or otherwise, without indulging in arguments and respecting others views. Thus a GD is a medium to assess several skills of a candidate including communication skills, knowledge of the topic, ability to perform in a team, self-control and other related qualities while performing in a group. Below mentioned are some of the DO's and Dont's to be followed during a GD.
