1. Can I apply for this post? In order to be eligible for this post, you need to have at least completed matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board of education.
2. Is the desirable experience mandatory to apply for the post? No, it is not mandatory to have a desirable experience for the post. A Candidate without any experience can also apply.
3. What is the age limit to apply for this job? Not exceeding 27 Years.
4. Is there any reservation for the physically handicapped category? There is no reservation for physically handicapped (HH, OH, VH & Autism) persons. Hence, they need not apply.
5. Can a candidate who is awaiting final result apply for the post? A candidate must be Matriculate (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education as on closing date otherwise he/she is not eligible. He must have knowledge of the local language/dialect, opted by the candidate at the time of online registration.
6. Is there any reservation for physically handicapped category? There is no reservation for physically handicapped (HH, OH, VH & Autism) persons.
7. Whether OBC certificate in the state government performa allowed? No, OBC certificate should be in the format prescribed for employment under the government of India and the same is given in appendix II in the “Eligibility Criteria and Other Details” on the website.
8. Is it necessary to know to read, write and speak of the particular language, initially selected by the candidate at the time of online registration? Yes. You should know atleast one language of that SIB/ State. The language list is given in the vacancy table. Reading and writing ability of the candidates will be assessed through Tier-II exam and spoken ability will be assessed at the time of Tier-III exam (Interview/ Personality test).
9. Whether upper age limit is also relaxable for personnel working in PSUs, Autonomous/Statuary bodies, etc.? Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular & continuous service. This relaxation is applicable only to Central Govt. Civilian employees holding civil posts & not applicable to personnel working in PSUs, Autonomous/Statuary bodies, etc.
10. What is the eyesight for the job? Can a colour blind candidate apply for the job? As per the medical standard prescribed for the post, the candidate should possess normal colour vision and should be fit as per our medical standard.
11. Can an ex-serviceman get any age relaxation? Yes, as per rules.
12. Is there any age relaxation for State Govt. employees? There is no age relaxation for State Govt. employees.
1. How to apply for the post? The detailed advertisement and link for applying online is available on the website of MHA, viz., www.mha.gov.in under “What’s New” section or under the tab ‘Vacancies’. Please read the detailed advertisement and apply accordingly.
2. What is the last date to apply for the posts? The last date to submit the online application is 10th November 2018. Aspirants are advised to avoid the last day of applying online so as to submit your application in a hassle free manner.
3. I have specified wrong information by mistake, Can I still make changes to my Application Form? If you have not submitted the form completely then you can make changes by editing the application. You need not fret.
4. What are the documents needed at the time of receipt of application form? No, the documents are not needed at the time of receipt of application form. All the documents are needed only at the time of verification.
5. Is there any application fee to apply for the post? There is no fee for women and ST/SC category. However, male candidates need to pay a nominal amount of Rs 50.
6. Where do we have to submit the hard copy of our certificates? Not required. To be submitted at the time of document verification.
7. How can I login? You can login to the official site by clicking the direct link given at the end of this article and register yourself by filling in all the details.
8. How to make sure that one's application is accepted? The application form gets successfully submitted only when one has filled in all the required details.
9. How can I retrieve my Password in case I forgot my password? You can retrieve your password by entering the personal details such as your name, DOB and E-mail ID from the official site. MHA has also sent the registration numbers on email & mobile.
10. I belong to Delhi but I want to apply for Kerala state? You can apply from any state of your choice but you need to meet certain conditions. You will be considered for that state's vacancies only when you meet all the other requirements such as knowledge of that state's dialect.
11. What if I have lost my matriculation certificate. Can I still apply for the post? You need to produce matriculation certificate at the time of Document Verification failing which you will not be eligible for the post. Therefore, one must have all the essential documents.
12. Can I fill form from two different states? No, You can fill form only once. If you fill form from two different states there are chances of your candidature being canceled.
13. Whether the registration number can be viewed again if the same has not been noted down at the time of submission of application. The same can be retrieved from the by providing requisite information like name, date of birth, etc. MHA has also sent the registration numbers on email & mobile.
14. Whether educational and experience certificates are required to be attached along with registration slip? No. Educational and experience certificates are not required to be attached along with registration slips. These certificates will be verified at the time of document verification in case you get shortlisted in Tier-I.
15. What if a candidate has furnished incorrect information in the online application?
  • In case the wrong date of birth or category or name has been entered and application finally submitted, it is advised to apply afresh and appear for the written examination with the admit card bearing correct details.
  • In case there is a minor correction like address, name misspelled, etc there is no need to apply again. In case the candidate is shortlisted in Tier-I, he/she can give an intimation for relevant correction at the time of document verification.

16. If the print out of the registration slip could not be taken at the time of registration, can it be taken out at a later date? Yes. The print out of the registration slip can be taken at a later date.
17. What is the validity for the challan? The challan would be valid until two days after the closing date.
18. How to pay the fees? The examination fee can be paid offline or online AFTER A GAP OF ONE WORKING DAY FROM THE DATE OF REGISTRATION.
1. When will the IB SA Tier-I Exam 2018-19 be conducted? 17th February 2019
2. When will the IB SA Tier-II Exam 2018-19 be held? Will be announced in the later stages.
3. Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)? Written Exam for IB SA will be conducted offline (OMR Based).
4. Will all papers in IB SA will be bilingual? No, All the papers apart from the English Language and the Descriptive Test would be bilingual i.e. in both English and Hindi.
5. How many attempts are there for IB SA 2018-19? There are no number of attempts for IB SA 2018-19.
1. What is the selection procedure for IB Security Assistant (Executive) Posts? In order to get selected as an IB Security Assistant, one needs to clear all the stages namely Tier I, Tier II and Interview. Tier I will be of 100 marks and the duration of it will be 2 hours. There is negative marking in Tier 1. For each wrong answer, 1/4th marks will be deducted. Tier II will carry 50 marks and test one's knowledge of any one of the local language/dialect. There is no negative marking in Tier 2 but you need to qualify it to get at the last stage which is Interview/Personality test. You need to score atleast 35% marks in Tier 2 in order to qualify for the last round. Interview Round will carry 50 marks.
2. Whether the marks of Tier-II exam will be included in the final merit? No, Tier-II examination will be of qualifying nature and to qualify in the same, the candidate would be required to obtain minimum 20/50 marks.
3. What are the subjects of Tier-I & II? Please give some selective book. Tier-I will consist of multiple choice objective type questions with 4 sections i.e. General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/ Analytical Ability & Englidh Language.
Tier II will be descriptive type consisting translation of a passage of 500 words from local language/ dialect to English and vice versa. No specific book is recommended. To get best recommended books [Click Here]
4. What is the cut off for Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III exams? In order to achieve qualitative selection & recruit the best available talent, there would be minimum cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam as under: UR-35, OBC-34 & SC/ ST-33 (all Ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/ OBC/ SC/ ST) However, candidates at 10 times of the number of vacancies will be called for Tier-II & Tier-III exam based on their performance in Tier-I exam. The cut-off in Tier-II is same for candidates of all categories. There is not cut-off for Tier-III exam.
1. What is the total number of vacancies? The total number of vacancies is 1054, which is further distributed SIBx/ Centre wise, as mentioned in the advertisement.
2. Is there any negative marking? There is negative marking in Tier-I; for every incorrect answer, 1⁄4 mark would be deducted. There is no negative marking in Tier-II.
3. Whether NOC has to be obtained for applying by the applicants from PSUs / Govt. Departments? Candidates from PSUs / Govt. Departments are required to obtain NOC for submitting their applications. NOC will be verified at the time of document verification.
4. Whether the change of center for written examination is allowed after the submission of application. No.
