FCI Recruitment FAQ, will guide the candidates in addressing their queries and concerns regarding FCI recruitment 2019. The questions and answers have been categorized for enhanced clarity.

1. Who can apply for the post of Junior Technical Assistant? B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University. Or B.Sc. with ANY of the following subject from a recognized University:
Botany / Zoology / Bio-Technology / Bio-Chemistry / Microbiology /Food Science. Or B. Tech / BE in Food Science / Food Science and Technology / Agricultural Engineering / Bio-Technology from a recognized University/ an institution approved by AICTE.
2. Can I apply for more than one post? No, a candidate can apply for any one of the posts and for any one zone only.
3. What is the eligibility criteria for the posts- AG-III (General) and AG-III (Depot)? The eligibility criteria for both the posts is same i.e. Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers but a candidate can only apply for any one post.
4. I am appearing for my last semester exams this year. Am I eligible to apply? Candidate must ensure to have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, viz., qualification, experience, age, etc. as on 01/01/2019.
5. Are Final year students eligible? No! Final year student are not eligible.
6. What is the maximum age limit for J.E. (Electrical Mechanical Engineering)? The maximum age limit for J.E. (Electrical Mechanical Engineering) is 28 years. The candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories are eligible for age relaxation maximum by 05 and 03 years respectively. Please refer to page 8 of the official notification for additional details.
7. What is the degree of disability above which people are eligible? Persons with the Degree of Disability of 40% and above are eligible for applying for the posts earmarked for persons with benchmark disabilities.
8. What are the qualifications for J.E. (Civil Enginering)? Aspirants applying for J.E. (Civil Engineering) must have a Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with one year experience.
9. I hold a Bachelor degree in Commerce? Am I eligible? Yes! You are eligible to apply for AG-III (General), AG-III (Accounts) and AG-III (Depot) if you are proficient in the use of computers. Additionally, you may apply for Typist (Hindi) if you possess 30 w.p.m. speed in hindi typing.
10. Can I apply in more than one zone? No! You can’t apply for more than one zone. You can apply only one zone at one time.
11. Can I apply for multiple posts? No! You can’t apply for more than one post at one time.
12. What is the age relaxation for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category? The candidates belonging to of SC/ST and OBC categories are eligible for age relaxation maximum by 05 and 03 years respectively.
13. I have been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 what is the age relaxation for me? There is an extra relaxation of 5 years for those aspirants who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989.
14. What is the age relaxation for a widow? If you are a widow and have not remarried, the age relaxation is below: For General: 35 years, OBC: 38 years & SC/ST: 40 years.
1. What is the total number of vacancies in the South Zone? The total no. of vacancies in the South Zone is 540 with the maximum vacancies for AG-III (Depot).
2. What are the total numbers of vacancies for the North Zone? There is a total of 1,999 vacancies in the North Zone.
3. What are the categories of disabilities for these vacancies? (a) blindness and low vision; (b) deaf and hard of hearing; (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each of the disability
1. What is the mode of application? Will Any hard copies of the application form be entertained? The mode of application is “only” online. Please note that no hard copies of the application form will be entertained.
2. What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page? Speed for Registration of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours in the night.
3. How do I know that my application is registered? Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD". Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter, results etc.
4. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application? "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends upon the correctness of E-Mail ID provided, Policy of your EMail Service Provider to accept and Divert such emails under Bulk or Spam Mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of emails generated by our Applications. In case of Govt./ official/ company Email Ids, delivery is controlled by your Company Policies. Therefore, please do not expect replies from us, if you do not receive such confirmation/ auto-response Emails.
5. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved? In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application/ e-Receipt, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.
6. I got Blank/ Zero Registration No. after submission of application on-line? In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration No. with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application.
7. After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen/ Internet got disconnected/ My PC closed/ hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved/ registered? If you do not get the application printout/ e-Receipt through RePrint option, your application is not saved. Please re-apply.
8. I did not receive the acknowledgement/ reply to my email communication? "Reply to" Email Id for the Application is created for the convenience of the Candidates for genuine communications. Please do not use this address to send back the emails for "Acknowledgment", "Vacation Mail", "Friendship Offers", "Sales Offers" etc. Our Email Server is configured to delete such emails automatically.
9. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails? While writing back by replying the confirmation emails for genuine problem, please retain the text containing "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" details on the email.
10. What details should I provide while writing for the problem? Please do not forget to provide following details while writing to us: (1) REGISTRATION NO. (2) MOBILE NO. (3) EMAIL ID as entered in application. In case of application failure or any error message, we would like to have the screenshot of the error in JPG, GIF format or as MS Word file. Additionally, you may provide the PC Details including the Operating System (like Windows XP, Vista, Linux etc.) & Internet Browser & version (like Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla 3.0, Firefox 3.5 etc.) used.
11. I want to change / correct the details I entered in the Application? Prior to submission of the online application, please choose the 'EDIT' option to correct the details. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying any details. Candidate should note that the data entered cannot be modified after finally submitting the application.
"In case you face any difficulty in online registration or if you haven't received auto response mail within 24 hours, I inform us by clicking on the link under the heading “Candidate Grievance Lodging and Redressal Mechanism” on IBPS official website i.e. www.ibps.in giving following specific details to enable us to provide quick resolution of the error encountered by you - (a) Registration Number (b) Name of the Bank (c) Name of the Post applied for (d) Your Email Id (e) Your contact telephone number (preferably your Mobile no ) (f) Your Operating System Windows XP SP2 or Linux ( with Version number) (g) Browser with its version number (h) Whether java script is enabled (i) Copy of Exact Text of error message you encounter.

12. What is the Application Fee for FCI Recruitment 2019?

1. What is the date for Online test? Online Test Tentatively in the month of April/May, 2019.
2. What is the language of the online test? Online Test will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi except for language papers.
3. Is there any negative marking in the exams? For each wrong answer, there will be negative marking of one-fourth (1/4) of the mark assigned to that question.
1. What is the selection process? The online test will comprise of Phase-I and Phase-II exams.
2. How many candidates will be selected in Phase 2 exam and will the marks of Phase 1 be counted in the final merit? Marks obtained in Phase-I online exam will not be reckoned for final merit list. The candidates fifteen times the number of vacancies advertised shall be called for Phase-II examination.
3. How many candidates will be called for document verification? The number of Candidates to be called for document verification may be equal to three times the number of advertised vacancies.
4. Will the cutoff be zone wise? Yes, The candidate will be considered for the post applied for, on the basis of his/ her merit for the post within the Zone.
5. Where will be the posting place after selection? The candidate on selection to a particular Zone of FCI is liable to be posted in any State within the jurisdiction of that Zone. However, they are also liable to be posted anywhere in the country in the interest of the Corporation.
6. Is there any Sectional cutoff of in written Exam? There will be no sectional cutoff in the written exam.
7. What will be the process of final selection? The final selection will be based on the merits of the written exam and for some post skill test.
8. Where would we get posting after selection? After selection, where the selected candidates will get the posting? After selection, the selected candidates will get posting in the Applied Zone only.
1. What is the meaning of FCI? FCI full form is Food Corporation of India. The Food Corporation of India was set up under the Food Corporation's Act 1964, in order to fulfill objectives of the Food Policy.
2. What is FCI department? FCI operates under the ministry of food and ministry of agriculture. It operates in 5 Zones throughout India which are North Zone, East Zone, West Zone, South Zone and North Zone. FCI is a central government body, currently provides multiple services to farmers and consumers.
3. What is the work of Food Corporation of India? Food Corporation of India works towards the effective price support operations which protect the interest of farmers. FCI takes up responsibilities in distributing food grains throughout the country and also assists in regulating market price.
4. What is Food Corporation of India exam? FCI Exam 2019 will be held in order to recruit Junior Engineer, Steno Grade - II, Typist (Hindi) and Assistant Grade-III.
1. What is the status and responsibilities of Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering), (Electrical Engineering), (Mechanical Engineering)? Under the supervision of higher officers and superiors, these engineers have to supervise construction and maintenance work as well as prepare preliminary drawings and estimates and perform work related to them.
2. What is the status and responsibilities of AG.II (Hindi)? The status and responsibilities of A.G. II (Hindi) is to translate correctly from Hindi into English and vice-versa and/or perform other duties listed.
3. What is the status and responsibilities of Typist (Hindi)? In FCI, the status of Typist (Hindi) is the beginning level of the clerical grade. The Typist (Hindi) is required to have knowledge and ability to type correctly in Hindi at the speed of 30 w.p.m. and above. In addition, they are also supposed to perform other duties listed for A.G-III.
4. What is the status and responsibilities of AG.III (General), (Depot)? In FCI, the status of A.G.III (General) is the beginner level of clerical grade and his responsibilities involves the performance, under close supervision of the Manager/ higher officers, of duties of a routine and repetitive nature like making simple entries in registers, dispatch of mail, drafting simple letters, maintaining casual leave record, recording movements of incoming and outgoing files, maintaining files of routine nature and other related work that can be easily understood after a little or no job experience.
5. What is the status and responsibilities of AG.III (Accounts)? In FCI, the status of A.G.III (Accounts) is the beginning level of Accounts Assistant and his responsibilities include the maintenance of accounts on daily basis in the various offices of the Food Corporation of India which also includes Pay Offices.
6. What is the status and responsibilities of AG.III (Technical)? In FCI, the status of A.G. III (Technical) is the beginning level grade of Technical Assistants and his responsibilities include preparation of analysis report and the close supervision of Manager (QC)/ higher officers and under the lead of TA Grade-I or TA Grade-II, simple tests relating to analysis of samples of food grains.
