TS Police Constable Selection Process

The TS Police Constable Civil or Equivalent Selection Process involves four phases: Preliminary Written Test (PWT), Physical Measurements Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Final Written Examination (FWE). The Preliminary Written Examination (PWE) will be conducted offline. Candidates who will clear the Preliminary Written Test will proceed to the TS Police Constable next stages.
The TS Police Constable IT & C / Mechanic / Driver Selection Process involves three phases: Physical Measurements Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Written Examination. The Written Examination will be conducted offline. Candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will proceed to attend the Written Examination.

The different phases of the TS Police Constable Selection Process 2018 are as described below:
TS Police Constable Selection Process - Civil or Equivalent
All the registered Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in 1 (one) paper of 3 (three) hours duration for 200 marks. Hall Ticket will be issued Online for this purpose. Intimation Letter: Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test will be informed the dates for downloading the Intimation Letter through the website www.tslprb.in for appearing in the PMT / PET with details of Venue, Date and Time. Candidates should bring the Intimation Letter when they come to attend the PMT/PET.
Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test have to undergo Physical Measurements Test and should meet the following requirements.
i. For the Post Code Nos.21 to 26 (for Men Candidates): Height: Must not be less than 167.6 cms Chest: Must not be less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms
ii. For the Post Code Nos.21 & 22 (for Women Candidates): Height: Must not be less than 152.5 cms
iii. For the Post Code No.27 (for Men Candidates) Height: Must not be less than 168 cms Chest: Must not be less than 87 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms
iv. For the Post Code No.28 (Women Candidates) Height: Must not be less than 153 cms
Provided that Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes & Aboriginal tribes belonging to the Agency Areas of Mahaboobnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam districts should meet the following Physical Standards:
i. For the Post Code Nos.21 to 26 (for Men Candidates): Height: Must not be less than 160 cms Chest: Must not be less than 80 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 cms
ii. For the Post Code Nos.21 & 22 (for Women Candidates): Height: Must not be less than 150 cms
iii. For the Post Code No.27 (Men Candidates) Height: Must not be less than 164 cms Chest: Must not be less than 83 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms
Candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurements Test will be required to undergo the following tests and qualify as specified below:
i. For Post Code Nos. 21, 26 & 27 (Men): Candidates must qualify in any 3 (three) events out of the 5 (five) events of the Physical Efficiency Test as detailed below, while qualifying in 800 metres run is a must for all of them, i.e., 800 metres run should be one of the 3 (three) or more events that they qualify in.

ii. For Post Code Nos. 21 & 28 (Women): Candidates must qualify in any 2 (two) events out of 3 (three) events of Physical Efficiency Test as detailed below, while qualifying in 100 Metres Run is a must for all of them, i.e., 100 Metres Run should be one of the 2 (two) or 3 (three) events that they qualify in.

iii. For Post Code Nos. 22 to 25 (Men): Candidates must qualify in all the 5 (five) events of Physical Efficiency Test carrying an aggregate 75 maximum marks as detailed below.

Performance of the Candidates in each event will be awarded over a maximum of 15 marks as per the gradation shown in Annexure-I(A). All the 5 (five) events put together will carry 75 marks. For Post Code No. 22 while drawing the Merit List, these 75 marks will be normalized as per the procedure followed by TSLPRB.
iv. For Post Code No. 22 (Women): Candidates must qualify in all the 3 (three) events of the Physical Efficiency Test carrying an aggregate 75 maximum marks as detailed below:

Performance of the Candidates in each event will be awarded over a maximum of 25 marks as per the gradation shown in Annexure-I(B). All the 3 (three) events put together will carry 75 marks. While drawing the Merit List, these 75 marks will be normalized as per the procedure followed by TSLPRB. Intimation Letter: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test / Physical Efficiency Test will be issued Hall Tickets for appearing in the Final Written Examination with details of Venue, Date and Time. Candidates should bring the Hall Ticket when they come to attend the Final Written Examination.
Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear in a Final Written Examination 1(one) paper of 3 (three) hours duration, as described below.

i. For Post Code Nos. 21 and 26: Final selection of the Candidates shall be made strictly based on the merit, as obtained by them through their score in the Final Written Examination out of a maximum of 200 marks and as per the provisions of the Telangana Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975 and GO (P) No.763, General Administration (SPF.A) Department, dated 15.11.1975 as amended form time to time, shall be applicable. As per GO Ms No. 8 General Administration (SPF.A) Department, dated 08-01-2002, while filling up the vacancies, the first 20% of Posts shall be filled following combined merit list of Local Candidates / NonLocal Candidates (un-reserved) and thereafter, the remaining 80% of the Posts shall be filled up by Local Candidates only.
ii. For Post Code No. 22: Final selection of the Candidates shall be made strictly based on merit, as obtained by them through their score in the Final Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test and Weightage Marks. Marks secured by Men and Women in PET shall be normalized as per the procedure followed by TSLPRB to ensure fairness. The normalized marks shall be used while drawing the Final Merit List. Provisions of the Telangana Public Employment (Organisation of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975 and GO (P) No.763, GA (SPF.A) Dept., dated 15.11.1975 as amended from time to time, shall be applicable. As per GO Ms No. 8 of General Administration (SPF.A) Department, dated 08-01-2002, while filling up the vacancies, the first 20% of Posts shall be filled following combined merit list of Local Candidates / NonLocal Candidates (un-reserved) and thereafter, the remaining 80% of the Posts shall be filled up by Local Candidates only.
iii. For Post Code Nos. 23, 24 and 25: Final selection of the Candidates shall be made strictly based on merit as obtained by them through their score in the Final Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test and Weightage marks. Provisions of the Telangana Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, the Rule of Reservation to Local Candidates is not applicable to these selections.
iv. For Post Code Nos. 27 and 28: Final selection of the Candidates shall be made strictly based on merit as obtained by them through their score in the Final Written Examination out of a maximum of 200 marks. Provisions of the Telangana Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, the Rule of Reservation to Local Candidates is not applicable to these selections.
Merit among Candidates who secure same Marks: When 2 (two) or more Candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the Candidate who was born earlier.
TS Police Constable Selection Process - IT & C / Mechanic / Driver
All the registered Candidates shall be required to undergo Physical Measurements Test and should meet the following requirements:
For Men Height: Must not be less than 162 cms Chest: Must not be less than 84 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 4 cms
For Women only for Post Code No. 34 Height: Must not be less than 152.5 cms
Provided that Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes & Aboriginal Tribes belonging to the Agency Areas of Mahaboobnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam districts should meet the following Physical Standards:
For Men Height: Must not be less than 160 cms Chest: Must not be less than 80 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 cms
For Women only for Post Code No. 34 Height: Must not be less than 150 cms
Candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurements Test will be required to undergo the following tests and qualify as specified below.
i. Men Candidates must qualify in any of the 3 (three) events, out of 5 (five) events of Physical Efficiency Test as detailed below while qualification in 800 metres is a must for all of them i.e., 800 metres run should be one of the 3 (three) or more events that they qualify in

ii. Women Candidates must qualify in any of the 2 (two) events out of the 3 (three) events of the Physical Efficiency Test as detailed below, while qualifying in 100 Metres Run is a must for all of them i.e., 100 Metres Run should be one of the 2 (two) or 3 (three) events that they qualify in

iii. Trade Test for Post Code No. 35: Candidates who qualify in the above Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear and qualify in a Trade Test. The Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board will constitute a Committee for conducting this Test with the Officers from Police Transport Organization, Road Transport Corporation and Road Transport Authority.
Candidates must qualify in the Trade Test carrying a maximum of 100 marks in 10 (ten) parameters mentioned below, out of which at least 50 marks must be obtained. If a Candidate secures less than the prescribed minimum marks in three or more parameters he would be deemed to have failed in the Test even though he secures minimum marks i.e., 50 marks in the aggregate.

iv. Driving Test for Post Code No. 36: Candidates who qualify in the above Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear and qualify in a Driving Test. The Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board will constitute a Committee for conducting this Test with the Officers from Police Transport Organization, Road Transport Corporation and Road Transport Authority.
Candidates must qualify in the Driving Test carrying a maximum of 100 marks in 8 (eight) parameters mentioned below, out of which at least 50 marks must be obtained. If a Candidate secures less than the prescribed minimum marks in three or more parameters he would be deemed to have failed in the test even though he secures minimum marks i.e., 50 marks in the aggregate.

Intimation Letter: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be issued Hall Tickets for appearing in the Written Examination.
For Post Code No. 34: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear in a Written Examination (Technical paper Objective Type (200 Questions) for 200 Marks of 3 (three) hours duration).
For Post Code No. 35: Candidates who qualify in the Trade Test shall be required to appear for a Written Examination (Technical paper of Objective Type (200 Questions) for 200 Marks of 3 (three) hours duration).
For Post Code No. 36: Candidates who qualify in the Driving Test shall be required to appear for a Written Examination (Technical paper of Objective Type (200 Questions) for 200 Marks of 3 (three) hours duration).
i. For Post Code No. 34: Final selection of the Candidates will be made strictly based on merit, as obtained by them through their score in the Written Examination (200 marks) from among the Candidates who qualified in Physical Efficiency Test. Provisions of the Telangana State Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, the rule of reservation to local Candidates is not applicable.
For Post Code No. 35: Final selection of the Candidates will be made strictly based on merit, as obtained by them through their combined score in the Trade Test (100 marks) and Written Examination (200 marks) from among the Candidates who qualified in Physical Efficiency Test. Provisions of the Telangana State Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, the rule of reservation to local Candidates is not applicable.
For Post Code No. 36: Final selection of the Candidates will be made strictly based on their relative merit as obtained by them through their combined score of Driving Test (100 marks) and Written Examination (200 marks). Provisions of the Telangana State Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, the rule of reservation to local Candidates is not applicable.
Merit among Candidates who secure same Marks: When 2 (two) or more Candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the Candidate who was born earlier.
