For any student preparing to give the SAT exams, it is often suggested to attempt more than once to know about the pattern of the exam as well as get comfortable with the exam status quo. It is often that the student takes the SAT exam in the following pattern:
  • Once you are at the beginning of sophomore, start preparing for the fall of the junior exams. During the fall of the junior year, I appear for the SAT test for the first time.

  • If you are not satisfied with the results or are willing to improve upon your scores, keep spring as your target and burn the midnight oil during the winters of your sophomore.
  •
  • Appear for the SAT test during the spring which exposes you to the difficult sets of problems and a high competition as most of the test takers across the globe give the test during the spring.

  • Now, find out the missing links during the summer between the junior and senior years. After you have plotted out where you are lacking, reappear for the tests before your senior year begins. This way, you will not mix up the schoolwork with the SAT tests, yet the multiple and the rigorous preparation of the SAT exam would have helped you to ace the exam by now!

  • Make sure not to take two consecutive SAT tests as they will not add any value to you and you might hardly see any difference in scores. During the fall, the number of tests is more, as they are not evenly distributed over the schedule, which makes it difficult for the test takers to perform.
Proper planning regarding the application deadlines for the college is really helpful when selecting the right date for the SAT exam. Often, during the spring of your sophomore, it is suggested to appear for the SAT exams. Why?! In the worst-case scenario of poor performance, you will be exposed to another chance during the fall, before the application for the universities zeroes down.
Are you done giving the SAT exam? So, what is the next step? The major step after clearing the SAT exam is to use the score to apply in the best colleges globally. SAT test scores check the eligibility of the students for global education, but the colleges have their mandates for selecting the students. Make sure you make a shortlist of the top 4 free universities which you wish to apply while giving the SAT test so that you can target the desired score in the SAT exam!
