1. What is the number of vacancies for Sub-inspectors in RPF as per official notification? There are 1105 vacancies as per the official notification.
2. What are the essential educational qualifications for RPF SI? A candidate must hold a degree from a recognized university
3. What is the age limit for RPF SI 2018? On 01.07.2018 the age of the candidate, applying for Sub-Inspector Post shall be between 20-25 years.
4. What are the criteria for Age relaxation for different categories? Age relaxation for eligible categories are as follows:

4 Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 (Unreserved) UR – 5 years OBC–Non-creamy layer - 8 years SC/ST – 10 years
5 Central Govt. employees (Unreserved) other than ex-servicemen who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular & continuous service on date of reckoning. UR – 5 years OBC–Non-creamy layer - 8 years SC/ST – 10 years
6 Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from husband but remarried UR – 2 years OBC- Non-creamy layer – 5 years. SC/ST – 7 years

5. How many chances will be given to the candidates for clearing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) RPF SI posts? A candidate need to keep an important point in their mind i.e. A candidate will get only one chance for 1600 and 800 meters race. But there will be two chances for high jump and long jump applicable to all categories.
6. Are the candidates wearing spectacles eligible for the recruitment of RPF SI 2018? No, the candidates wearing spectacles or having the problem of colour blindness are not eligible to apply.
1. I want to fill the application form, what are the essential requirements for online registration? Candidates should have an active mobile number as well as a valid email id. He/she keep his id and mobile number active in the complete recruitment process.
2. I don't know the procedure for the registration! You have to enter all the essential details in the column provided. After filling all the details, an OTP will be sent to the Mobile number and email id for the verification. You have to fill the OTP to validate your registration details.
3. After registration, Can I edit the details? Yes, you can edit the details except for your email id, mobile number and State you applied for.
4. How can I login? Indian Railways will send a registration id & password to your registered email id. Use that credentials and log-in.
5. How can I get to know that my application is submitted successfully? Your application will get submitted after you complete all the details. You will also be able to preview & take out a print of your application.
6. I have not received OTP. What should I do? Check if you are entering the correct mobile number & you are connected to the internet. You can use the option of re-send OTP if you have inserted the correct number.
7. What are the documents needed at the time of application registration? At the time of registration, you should keep ready the following
  • Photograph of size 35mm X 45mm with name and date printed on it.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to upload scanned copy of their SC/ST certificates (JPG/JPEG format, 50kb – 100kb) also for availing the facility of free travel authority (Second Class Railway Pass).

8. What is the application Fees?

1. How do i download my Call letter/Admit card? Candidates are advised to visit the official website and login with the ID & Password. Then download the Admit Card 2018 directly.
2. Where to report for any delay in the Admit card 2018? Candidates who did'nt received the admit card need to immediatley contact the HELP DESK.
3. Can the Exam Center be changed after submitting the Online Application Form? No! the allotted time, date and venue details cannot be changed.
1. I am not sure if I belong to OBC creamy layer or Non-creamy layer. How can I confirm it? The total income of the family of the OBC-Non Creamy Layer candidate should not be more than 8 Lakhs.
2. What to do if I lost my SSLC/SSC/Matriculation Certificate? You cannot register without entering SSLC/Matric roll no & passing year. If you get selected for DV round, you have to show the original/Duplicate certificate to the board.
