Recruitment of superior officers and promotion to the rank of Assistant Commandants and from one rank of superior officer to the other rank of superior officers shall be made in accordance with the Railway Protection Force (Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ Posts) Recruitments Rules, 1981, as amended from time to time. Below is the promotion order of RPF Constable.
Promotion
RPF Constable Career Progression - Training:
Selected candidates will have to undergo a rigorous initial training in any one of the RPF/RPSF training centre or any other such institution as decided by the Railway Administration. The trainee recruits/cadets will be given a stipend of Rs.21,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Railway Rules during the period of training. Passing the Final Examination at the end of the training is a must for appointment to the Force.
The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 2 years from the date of appointment after completion of initial training, subject to the provision that the appointing authority may extend this period in special case as per extant rules.
RPF Constable Career Progression - Promotion Order:
The RPF Constable Career Progression is two types, one where it will be on basis on inter department examination. The second is it done on basis of work experience and your performance.
