International English Language Testing System is currently known as IELTS, is Conducted by British Council and IDP Education Ltd. IELTS is designed to test the language ability of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. Over 3 million tests are taken each year.
✦ If a candidate cancel their test or request for postpone of the IELTS exam up to five weeks prior to the scheduled test date, the test center will charge an administration fee.
✦ Candidates have the option to transfer to another test date, by paying Rs.2, 950.
✦ If he/she cancel their test or request a transfer within five weeks of the test date for medical reasons, they must provide supporting medical evidence within five days of the test date. The only evidence of serious illness will be considered. Only original medical certificates will be accepted and this must state their inability to appear for the test on the scheduled test date.
✦ If he/she cancels the test within five weeks of the test date for any reason other than a medical issue, bereavement or hardship/trauma, they will not be eligible to receive a refund.
✦ If he/she needs to postpone or cancel the test due to the bereavement of a close family member or hardship/trauma, valid evidence is required for an exemption to be made.
✦ Download the application form and send it to us along with the appropriate documents and/or evidence no later than five days after the test date via e-mail, or courier. Documents accepted include a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner, a death certificate or a police report.
✦ Once the transfer application has been approved for the selected test date, the candidate will be granted a transfer. Please note that candidates are only allowed to transfer their test date once.
✦ If he/she pay for their IELTS exam through the ICICI Bank, but do not complete their registration for the exam with us within three months of payment date, the full amount of the exam fee will be forfeited and the council will not be able to grant a refund or fee adjustment against any exam date.
✦ Test takers who request for a cancellation of their registration more than five weeks prior to the test date will receive the refund after deduction of cancellation/postponement fee.
✦ Fee paid at ICICI bank will be refunded via NEFT. (A copy of canceled cheque is required to be submitted along with the application for rescheduling or cancellation)
✦ Fee paid online will be refunded to the bank account that was used for making online payments.
✦ The form should be sent to the council via email or post. If the application is approved, the center will refund the amount by Demand Draft to the communication address mentioned on the application form.
If we do not receive both, the Application form for postponement or cancellation of IELTS along with the supporting documents, at our office in Gurgaon by the fifth working day after the test, you will be marked as absent and forfeit all claims
If you have paid for your IELTS test through ICICI Bank, but do not complete your registration for the test (with us) within three months of the date of payment of the test fee, the full test fee will be forfeited and we will not be able to grant a refund or fee adjustment against any future test date.
