Preliminary Examination is important to qualify for the Mains Examination. LIC AAO Prelims Practice & Mock Test section allows candidates to practice the learned material to ensure the candidate understands the pattern of the exam and the expected questions that would appear in the actual test.

Scheme of Preliminary Examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAOs) in LIC is as follows:
  • Preliminary Examination consisting of objective test will be conducted online.

  • The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section).

Answer: Option (A)
Explanation: The pattern is + 8, + 8, + 16, + 24,.... .'. Missing number = 73 + 24 = 97.

Answer: Option (A)
Explanation: Each letter of the word is moved four steps back to decode it. So GEORGE will be CAKNCA.

Answer: Option (B)
Explanation: Let Rs. x be the fare of city B from city A and Rs. y be the fare of city C from city A. Then, 2x + 3y = 77 ...(i) and 3x + 2y = 73 ...(ii) Multiplying (i) by 3 and (ii) by 2 and subtracting, we get: 5y = 85 or y = 17. Putting y = 17 in (i), we get: x = 13.
8. In three colored boxes - Red, Green and Blue, 108 balls are placed. There are twice as many balls in the green and red boxes combined as there are in the blue box and twice as many in the blue box as there are in the red box. How many balls are there in the green box?

Answer: Option (D)
Explanation: Let R, G and B represent the number of balls in red, green and blue boxes respectively. Then, R + G + B = 108 ...(i), G + R = 2B ...(ii) B = 2R ...(iii) From (ii) and (iii), we have G + R = 2x 2R = 4R or G = 3R. Putting G = 3R and B = 2R in (i), we get: R + 3R + 2R = 108 => 6R = 108 => R = 18. Therefore Number of balls in green box = G = 3R = (3 x 18) = 54.

Hence the most appropriate option is (B) as you have done mistake so you have to pay fine for it.

6. When I have married 10 years ago my wife is the 6th member of the family. Today my father died and a baby born to me. The average age of my family during my marriage is the same as today. What is the age of Father when he died?

Explanation: Let the Father be x years when he died Average Age 10 years ago be A Total Age 10 years ago = 6*A Total Age after 10 years(Just before father's Death) = 6A + 6*10 = 6A + 60 Father Died and Baby was born => the Total number of people in the family is Same (6) Baby born today so age of baby = 0 (6A +60 - x)/6 = 6A/6 => A + 10 -(x/6) = A => x/6 = 10 => x = 60 Therefore we can conclude that the father was 60 years old when he died.

To prepare for LIC AAO Prelims 2019, the three main subjects that you need to be excellent at are Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language.
Candidates can crack the exam only with the right approach and correct strategy and can also clear the LIC AAO 2019 Prelims examination.
