Introduction
Applications are invited through online from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Forest Section Officer in A.P. Forest Sub Service. To apply for APPSC Forest Section Officer recruitment, the candidates must be eligible as per the educational qualifications, physical requirements and age limit.

Eligibility
i. He / She is of sound health, active habits and free from any bodily defect or infirmity rendering him unfit for such service
ii. His / Her character and antecedents are such as to qualify him for such service
iii. He /She possesses the academic and other qualifications prescribed for the post and
iv. He/ She is a citizen of India
Provided that no candidate other than a citizen of India may be appointed except with the previous sanction of the State Government and except in accordance with such conditions and restrictions as they may be laid down. Such sanction shall not be accorded unless the State Government are satisfied that sufficient number of citizens of India, who are qualified and suitable are not available.
A candidate should possess the academic qualifications and experience including practical experience prescribed, if any, for the post on the date of the notification for direct recruitment issued by the concerned recruiting agency.

Age:
- No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment if he/she is not less than 18 years of age and if he / she is more than 30 years of age as on 01-07-2019
- Candidates should not be born earlier than 2nd July 1989 and not later than 1st July 2001.

i) No person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to the post of FBO / ABO in the service, unless he is not less than 163 Cms., in height not less than 84 Cms., round the chest on full inspiration and has a chest expansion of not less than 5 Cms., on full inspiration.
ii) In case of women candidates, they must not be less than 150 Cms., in height, not less than 79 Cms., round the chest on full inspiration and a chest expansion of not less than 5 Cms., on full inspiration.
iii) Provided the minimum height is relaxable by 5 Cms. In the case of the candidates belong to Gurkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, NAFA, Naga, Manipuri, Gauhati, Kummoni, Sikkimese, Bhutanese and Scheduled Tribes.
iv) Provided further that in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes, where the reserved quota cannot be fully utilized for want of sufficient number of candidates possessing the requisite physical qualifications, the physical standards shall not be less than 158 Cms in height and not less than 78.8 Cms. round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 Cms
v) The candidate should possess normal eye sight apart from the physical requirements prescribed above.
vi) The eligible candidates selected in written test shall be subjected to the test of walking. In case of Male candidates, a distance of 25 Kms walking is to be completed in 4 hours duration. In case of Woman candidates, a distance of 16 Kms is to be completed in 4 hours duration.
Note:
The walking test is only a Physical endurance test and shall not carry any marks. It is treated as a qualifying test
vi) For qualified candidates, weightage shall be given to the NCC certificate holdershaving requisite qualifications. Physical measurements at the time of selection, as follows:
- NCC-“C” Certificate holder – 5 bonus marks.
- NCC-“B” Certificate holder – 3 bonus marks.
- NCC-“A” Certificate holder – 1 bonus mark.
Note:
The final selection shall be done from among the persons who have qualified in walking test based on the marks secured in written examination duly observing roster points and the bonus marks wherever applicable.
Common for Men and Women:
Must undergo a medical Examination to be conducted by the Medical Board at Visakhapatnam and produce a health certificate signed by the Medical Board in the form prescribed by Article 49 of the Civil Service Regulation testifying to the candidates sound hearing and general physical fitness for outdoor work in the Forest Department and to the fact that he /she bears on his/her body marks of successful vaccination.
Note:
Candidates must obtain physical measurement certificate issued by Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Assistant Surgeon, which will be furnished to the Commission at appropriate time.
