ACT Test Takers will be required to provide ID (Identity) Information when registering for the ACT Test. The Test takers are responsible to bring valid ID documents for ACT Test Center Id Verification at the test center.

Confirmation email, which includes the location of the test center and the time of the testing appointment.

The confirmation email - After the registration has been processed, one will receive a confirmation email from ETS that confirms his/her test choice, test date, test center and score recipients.
Three or four sharpened No. 2 or HB pencils and a good eraser - Pencils and erasers will not be supplied at the test center. Mechanical pencils and pens are not permitted.
ACT Test Center ID Verification - ID Verification Process
ID verification at the test center may include:
Biometric voice and photo identification
Fingerprinting/thumbprinting
Videotaping
Signature comparison
If test taker refuse to participate, he/she will not be permitted to test and will be forfeit for the test fees. This is in addition to the requirement that one must present acceptable and valid identification.
ACT Test Center ID Verification - Bringing Valid Identification
Test takers are responsible for ensuring that the name they used to register exactly matches (excluding accents) the name on the ID document(s) he/she will present at the test center. For example, the last name of Baker de Reddy would be entered as BakerdeReddy.
If the test administrator questions the ID they present, he/she may be required to provide supplemental ID. If positive confirmation cannot be made, one may not be permitted to test or his/her test score may be withheld.
Test takers are encouraged to bring at least two forms of acceptable ID each time they report to a test center. Prior admission to a test center based on a given ID document does not assure that that document will be considered acceptable. Test centers are not required to hold their seat if test taker leave the center to obtain acceptable identification.
Test takers may be required to show their ID and/or to sign a test center log at various points throughout the test administration.
The test fees will not be refunded if the test-taker is not permitted to test or if the scores are withheld or canceled because of invalid or unacceptable ID.
Note:
✦ Test takers are responsible for bringing valid and acceptable identification each time they report to a test center. It is their responsibility to ensure that the ID documents are up to date and available on the day of the test.
✦ Test takers ID requirements depend on the country of citizenship and where he/she plans to test. If one does not bring valid and acceptable ID, or if the name on the ID does not exactly match the name on the registration, he/she will not be permitted to test and the test fee will not be refunded.
