Write a letter to the Municipal Officer demanding a Garbage Bin your area.
E- 5/14 , Bank Enclave
Copernicus Marg
New Delhi
18th October 2018
To
The Municipal Manager
The Municipal Corporation
New Delhi
Subject: Request for garbage bins in the area
Sir
I wish to bring to your kind notice that the garbage around Bank Enclave road is getting accumulated into heaps and, therefore, I urge you to kindly pay attention and make available garbage bins in the locality.
In the absence of bins, people throw garbage here and there at empty places. These heaps are the source of stink and a perfect breeding ground for many dangerous insects. Children playing outside are vulnerable to this stink and insects. Without garbage bins, the place looks very dirty.
Hence, I, on behalf of the entire colony, request you to kindly look into the matter and install garbage bins and also please enlighten the people to throw garbage in garbage bins.
Looking forward to your support and immediate action.
Yours Faithfully
Women Empowerment
There is no denial to the fact that women in India have made an ample advancement in almost seven decades of Independence, but they still have to wrestle against many handicaps and social evils in the male-dominated society. Many evil and masculine forces still prevail in the modern Indian society that resists the forward march of its womenfolk. It is ironical that a country, which has recently acclaimed the status of the first Asian country to accomplish its Mars mission in the maiden attempt, is positioned at the 29th rank among 146 countries across the globe on the basis of Gender Inequality Index. There has been amelioration in the position of women, but their true empowerment is still awaited.
‘Women Empowerment’ refers to the complete liberation of women from socio-economic manacles of dependency and deprivations. The concept of empowerment flows from the word power. Empowerment of women would mean encouraging women to be self-reliant, economically independent, have positive self-esteem, generate confidence to face any difficult situation and invite active participation in various socio-political development endeavours. Women empowerment means the emancipation of women from the vicious grips of social, economic, political, caste and gender-based discrimination. It means granting women the freedom to make life choices. Women empowerment does not mean ‘deifying women’ rather it means replacing patriarchy with parity.
Women empowerment in its actuality is identical with complete augmentation of the society. An educated woman, with knowledge about health, hygiene, cleanliness is capable of creating a better disease-free environment for her family. A self-employed woman is capable of contributing not only to her family’s finances but also contributes towards increment of the country’s overall GDP. A shared source of income is much more likely to uplift the quality of life than a single income household and more often than not helps the family come out of the poverty trap. Women aware of their legal rights are less likely to be victims of domestic violence or other forms of exploitations. Their inherent aptitude towards the organization and well-rounded maintenance of home makes them uniquely suited for political and civic leadership roles.
In the process of empowerment, women should consider their strengths and weakness and move forward to unfold their own potential to achieve their goals through self-development. All we need is an organized approach from the Government and law enforcement agencies of the country focused in the right direction that would rest only with the liberation of women from all forms of evil.
