Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries, Departments and Subordinate Offices. Founded in the year 1977.

Initially, you will be appointed as guard or escort.
In the absence of sub-inspector and assistant sub-inspector, GD constable has to supervise all the task and duties.
SSC GD constables might give an opportunity to conduct the investigation of cases.
Duties as station writer might also be assigned to GD constable.
SSC GD constable has to work under the supervision of SHO (station house officer) and must all his orders and instruction strictly.
You can be promoted as senior head constable in which you have to take in charge of a police station.
