Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the SSC CPO Exam Pattern, SSC CPO Exam Syllabus and primarily SSC CPO Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration.


The SSC CPO selection process has three phases. The first phase is Paper 1 Online Written Exam, the second phase is Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) and the third phase is Paper 2 Online Written Exam.

3. SSC CPO Exam Duration – Important Notes:
  • The duration of the SSC CPO Paper 1 examination is 2 hours, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 3 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.

  • The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.

  • The duration of the SSC CPO Paper 2 examination is 2 hours, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 3 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
