9. Capital Gain Account Scheme - Capital Gain Account IDBI Bank has been authorized to accept deposits under the Capital Gains Accounts Scheme (CGAS), 1988 (Gazette notification dated November 29, 2012 from CBDT)
The scheme facilitate investment in order to save Capital Gains tax for the Capital Gains made by selling a capital investment like residential house, flat, shares, family businesses, farm houses, agriculture land etc. under Central Governments Capital Gains scheme, 1988.

  • Premature withdrawal and Penalty- As per guidelines issued from time to time. Presently under RTD no premature penalty is prescribed, hence no premature penalty is proposed if TD booked under the scheme. CGAS 1988 provides for 1% penalty for premature withdrawal

  • Utilization of the amount of withdrawal- As per the guidelines of the CGAS, 1988

  • Loan / Overdraft against Fixed Deposit- Not Applicable

  • Overdue deposit- Interest on overdue deposit is paid as per prevalent policy of the bank from time to time

  • Sweep-in options (i.e. Fund flowing from FFD to operative a/c- Not Applicable

  • Nature of FD receipt- Confirmation of Deposit (COD) as per present process and guidelines

  • Change or alienation- Amount standing to the credit of the depositor in any account under the Scheme shall not be offered as security for any loan or guarantee and shall not be charged or alienated in any manner, whatsoever

  • Transfer and conversion of Account- Allowed as per the Bank as well as CGAS 1988 guideline. The process and guidelines of bank and CGAS 1988 Scheme to be followed

  • Issue of Duplicate Pass Book or Receipt- In the event of loss or destruction of pass book or receipt, the branch may issue, on application made to it, a duplicate thereof

  • Nomination by an Individual- As per the guidelines of the CGAS, 1988

IDBI Bank Floating Rate Term Deposit Floating rate term deposits (FRTDs), as the name suggests, are a variant of fixed deposits, wherein the rate of interest is not fixed for the entire tenor of the deposit, but moves in tandem with a reference rate, which is periodically reset. This deposit shall allow customer to take advantage of Interest Rate changes without closing and re-booking their Fixed Deposits. Thus, FRTDs is ideally suited for the financially literate investor, who is not averse to taking a call on the directionality of future interest rates/inflation. The rates offered at aligned to Bank's Treasury Bill rates that are auctioned every fortnightly at the RBI website and with a mark-up that shall be re-set once every calendar year.
Advantages of IDBI Bank Floating Rate Term Deposits
  • Interest Payment - The interest on the deposit is payable quarterly on the last day of each quarter.

The deposits will be renewed automatically for same period as that of the matured deposit, at the FRTD rates prevailing at the time of maturity.   • Senior Citizen - Senior Citizens will be paid interest at 50 basis point higher that applicable FRTD rate.

  • Interest Rate (anchor) - Anchored to average yield at 364-Days Treasury Bills Auctions during the immediately preceding three months undertaken by RBI. This would be reset every calendar quarter.
    For example, average yield of 364 Day T-Bills during auctions held between April 1-June 30, 2012 stood at 8.19. Interest on FRTD, mobilized from July 1 to Sep 30, 2012, would be set based on tenor as under:

1. Balance Enquiry: 18008431122 You can get the last 'Available' balance of your account (by an SMS) by giving a Missed Call to 18008431122.
2. Mini Statement: 18008431133 You can get the Mini Statement (by an SMS) for last 5 transactions in your account by giving a Missed Call to 18008431133.
Features

    1. Bank has pre-activated this facility for all account holders who maintain a single operative account.
    2. If you have registered the same mobile number in multiple customer accounts, you need to follow a simple and instant registration process as detailed herein.
    Send SMS as REG Account Number to 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718 *Eg. REG 103104xxx134378 to 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718
    A confirmation SMS message will be sent indicating status of registration. If successful, you can immediately start using the service. If un-successful, check the SMS format and destination mobile number (it should be either 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718). Kindly also ensure that your latest mobile number is updated in bank records.
    3. If you wish to De-Register from the facility You can De-Register from the Toll Free Banking facility by sending SMS in following format DELAccount Number to 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718
    Eg. DEL 103104xxx134378 to 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718 You will receive a confirmation message indicating successful de-registration from the service. In order to avail the service again, please initiate a fresh registration.
    4. If you want to change a Registered Account number for using this facility simply register the new account number for the Toll Free Banking facility by sending an SMS in following format
    REGAccount Number to 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718 *E.g. REG 1036511xxxxx815 to 5676777 or 9820346920 / 9821043718
    5. You can avail this facility for a maximum of 4 times a day. The number of Missed Call limits is cumulatively calculated for both 18008431133 and 18008431122 together.
    6. The Bank is currently providing this service free of cost. For registration / de-registration process your telecom service provider may levy charges as per your SMS billing plans.

9. mPassbook
IDBI Bank's mPassbook (Android version) is an application to access physical passbook in an electronic form at the convenience of your mobile phone. You can view the transactions of all your accounts, both in online as well as offline mode (Mobile not connected to internet). In addition, there are several other unique features provided within the application which enhances the overall experience.
The initial as well as subsequent download will render previous/last 90 days transactions.

"PayWiz" is the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) Mobile Application of IDBI Bank that can be downloaded and used by a customer of any UPI participating bank. It comes with a host of features which allows you to go cashless for your day to day transactions.

Sukanya Samriddhi Account Launched on 22 January 2015; 3 years ago Sukanya Samriddhi Account (literally Girl Child Prosperity Account) is a Government of India backed saving scheme targeted at the parents of girl children. The scheme encourages parents to build a fund for the future education and marriage expenses for their female child.
The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra modi on 22 January 2015 as a part of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign. The scheme currently provides an interest rate of 8.1% (for October 2017 to December 2017 ) and tax benefits. The account can be opened at any India Post office or branch of authorised commercial banks.
