The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or the IBPS is the body that carries out the recruitment process for IBPS Regional Rural Banks (RRB) in India. It is popularly known as the IBPS RRB Exam. The IBPS RRB exam is conducted for recruitment to four different posts:
    1. IBPS RRB Office Assistant or Clerk (Multipurpose) 2. IBPS RRB Officer Scale I or PO 3. IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II ( Generalist & Specialist) 4. IBPS RRB Officer Scale III (Senior Manager)

IBPS RRB conducts recruitment to select candidates in the following levels Group A Officers: Scale-I (PO), Scale-II, Scale-III Group B Office Assistants: Multipurpose Office Assistants or Clerk
The IBPS RRB Officers Scale Salary is different for posts wise. All candidates undergo a training process which is called a Probation period. Under probation period candidate will get a fixed amount as salary which is quite low from normal salary.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I: Career Growth: IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I is a position for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) in the RRB’s. The in-hand salary of IBPS RRB Officer ranges from Rs. Rs. 29,000 – Rs. 33,000.
An IBPS RRB Officer Scale I will be under probation for a period of 2 years. After that he/she will be appointed as a regular serving employee thereby, being promoted to the post of Assistant Manager. The promotional hierarchy for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I is shown below: 1. IBPS RRB Salary: Perks & Allowances: The basic salary is Rs.23,700. The dearness allowances and the housing rent allowances will be getting added to the basic salary which forms the total salary for an IBPS RRB Officer.
Officer Scale-I:
    Officer Scale-I or General Bank Officer post is a Manager Trainee post in RRBs or Gramin Bank.
    For Office Scale 1- at 100% DA for new recruits: Rs.28000-31000.
    The in-hand salary of the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I will be around 29350.
    The probation period will be for two years’, and after its completion successfully the Manager Trainee will be promoted to Assistant Manager.

Officer Scale-II:
    Officer Scale-II post is a Manager level post
    Specialist recruited candidate to RRB comes into this post. Hence, an officer coming in at Scale-II can be Information Technology Officer, Chartered Accountant, Law Officer, Treasury Manager, Marketing Officer, and Agricultural Officer.
    For Office Scale-II – 100% DA for the new recruit: Rs. 33000-39000 (approx.) the starting salary of the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II will be around 39300. Just like Officer Scale-I, Officer Scale-II will also have to go through a probation period of two years.

Officer Scale-III:
    Officer Scale-III is a Senior Manager level post in RRBs. Which require greater experience I.e. at least five years of work experience either in banking or relevant sector.
    For Office Scale 3- at 100% DA for new recruits: Rs. 38000-46000 (approx.)

The IBPS RRB Salary includes Dearness Allowances (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA) for all the scales of IBPS RRB.

House Rent Allowance For Rural Areas: 5% of the basic pay For Semi-urban Areas: 7.5% of the basic pay For Urban Areas: 10% of the basic pay
