Introduction
- Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released the recruitment notification of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Stenographer.
- Total vacancies are 1870 across the country.
- The online application will start from 16th March 2019 & last day to apply for Steno & UDC Exam is 15th April 2019.

Pay Scale
ESIC UDC and Steno - Pay Scale:
- Revised pay as per 7th Central Pay Commission for the post is Level- 4 of Pay Matrix (Civilian employees) with Entry Pay Rs. 25500/-, replaced against Pay Band Rs. 5200 - 20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- of 6th Central Pay Commission.
- In addition to Pay they will also be eligible for DA, HRA and Transport Allowance and other allowances as per rules in force from time to time.
Career Growth
ESIC UDC Career Progression:
- After getting selected as a UDC in ESIC, the next promotion will be as an assistant in with initial grade pay of Rs. 4200/-, After serving for continuous 3 years of in the same cadre. This also depends on the vacancies available.
- After the next 3 years, he/she will become eligible for Social Security Officer in the initial grade pay of 4600/-.
- Candidate will get good opportunities for promotion and career growth on stenographer post.
- The promotions will depend on time promoted on the higher post according to their working years.
