Introduction
Applications are invited through online from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Panchayat Secretary in A.P. Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service. The APPSC Panchayat Secretary Selection Process involves Screening examination and Main examination.
Procedure
The different phases of the APPSC Panchayat Secretary Selection Procedure are as described below:
Scheme of Screening Test for recruitment to the post of Panchayat Secretary in A.P. Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service.
- The screening test consist of 2 parts i.e., Part A and Part B.
- Both the parts consists of 75 Questions each with 75 Marks respectively.
- This test would be of 150 Minutes duration.
- All Papers will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE.
- Screening Test will be conducted in Offline Mode.

Note:
- For each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.
- Appearance at all the above tests is compulsory. Absence at any or all of the papers will render the candidature invalid.

Selection
- The selection of candidates for appointment to the posts shall be based on the merit in the computer based examination, to be held as per the scheme of examination.
- Appearance in all the papers of screening examination / Main examination is compulsory.
- The absence in any of the papers/examination will automatically render the disqualification of the candidature.
- The minimum qualifying marks for consideration of a candidate to the selection process are:
- OCs – 40%
- BCs – 35 %
- SCs & STs – 30%
- In the event of Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe candidates not coming up for selection with the existing minimum prescribed for selection in the competitive examination conducted by the APPSC their selection shall be considered on the basis of rank with reference to their performance in the written and / or oral competitive examination irrespective of the marks secured.
- Where the candidates get equal number of marks in the examination if two or more candidates get equal total number of marks, those candidates shall be selected based on the age.
- The highest aged person have more chances for the selection.
- The final stage for the selection is medical test to check candidate health condition.
Note:
- Answer key would be published on the website and marks of each candidate are also displayed on website. No separate memorandum of marks would be issued.
