The TOEFL Test is available at more than 1,000 test centers in more than 160 countries. It is offered as a computer-delivered test year-round at most locations around the world and as a paper-delivered test up to three times a year in areas where computer-delivered testing is not available. Q1. When and where is the TOEFL held? The TOEFL is held round the year at test centers around the world. The ETS website has a full list of testing centers. The test is computer-based, and paper-based where computer testing is unavailable. Paper-based testing is held three times per year.
Q2. When is the TOEFL offered by the testing centers? The GRE is offered as a computer-based test year-round at certain registered (ETS approved) centers. One can register online on the ETS website and register for a particular date and time from the list of available dates and time slots. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. If one wants to get the preferred test date and time slot need to register early.
Q3. What are the ID requirements for taking the TOEFL revised general test? A valid passport is the only ID accepted by the testing centers to allow a test taker to take the TOEFL.
Q4. How to submit the TOEFL scores? At the conclusion of test, one will have the option to submit the most recent score or all of their scores from the past five years. After the test, they will have the option to send specific sets of test scores. One may control which scores are sent out, but can only send complete sets of scores (ie, one cannot combine section scores from different exams, they must send scores for an entire exam, but may choose which exams to send).
Q5. How long does it take for the TOEFL general test scores to be sent to the universities of my choosing? Score reports will be sent to candidates designated institutions approximately five business days after his/her order is placed. Q7. What are the things that a test taker need to bring to the Testing Center? For the computer-delivered test, test takers definitely need to bring an acceptable ID with the same registered name. Test takers are also advised to bring water and snacks for the break, although test-takers won’t be able to have them during testing time. Be sure to dress in layers and bring a sweater, because never know what the temperature the room will be! Q8. Do a test taker get scratch paper on the Computer-Based TOEFL? Test takers will receive scratch paper on the computer-based TOEFL. It is unlimited and is allowed to ask for more if run out. However, under no circumstances, test takers are not allowed to take the used scratch paper out of the testing center with them.
