shape Introduction

What is Score Select Option in GRE and how is it useful for the test takers? The GRE Score Select option allows test takers to send their best GRE test scores from test taken in the last five years. Using the option test takers can send scores of not only GRE tests that they already appeared, but also tests that they might appear in the future, provided the tests fall in the specified five-year period.

GRE Score Select Option
Test takers have the option to select the score, which means test takers can take a GRE test once now, or again in the future, and only send the GRE test scores from whichever test date(s) they want schools to see. Best of all, test takers always have five years to decide. Here's how it works:
On test day, when viewing the scores at the test center, test takers can choose not to send their scores at this time or they can select either option below for each of their four FREE score reports:

Most Recent - Send the scores from the current test administration.
All - Send the scores from all General Test administrations in the last five years.

After the test day, test takers can send additional score reports for a fee and select from these options for each report which they would like to send:

Most Recent - Send the scores from the most recent test administration.
All - Send the scores from all test administrations in the last five years.
Any - Send the scores from one or as many test administrations as one like from the last five years.

No matter which option the test taker chooses:

✦ Test takers need to select by specific test dates, so their scores are all from the same testing session.
✦ The schools they designate will only see the scores that they selected to send them. There will be no special indication if test taker have taken additional GRE tests.

Availability of Score Select Option-
The Score Select option is available for both the GRE General Test and GRE Subject Tests, and can be used by anyone with reportable scores from the last five years.

✦If a student decide to take a GRE test again, can do so once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period (365 days), depending on test center availability.
